Colorado Voters Approve Excise Tax on Their Guns and Ammunition
Breitbart ^ | 11/08/2024 | Awr Hawkins

Just over 54 percent of Colorado voters approved on Tuesday Proposition KK, which contains an excise tax on the in-state sale of guns and ammunition.

CBS News reported that roughly 1.3 million Colorado voters supported the proposition, while 1.1 million opposed it.

The approved tax is 6.5 percent, which means the price of $400 firearm will rise $26 and the price of a $1,000 firearm will increase by $65 because of the new tax.

Wonder what this tax rise will pay for. I won’t fault them tho. If they like high taxes so be it.

I thought Colorado was full of hunters and ranchers. My great uncle, a farmer in Montrose, hunted big game as an avocation.

“I thought Colorado was full of hunters and ranchers. “

California refugees have ruined the place.

I wonder how high (pun intended) the excise tax is on their dope.

I bought my first gun at the JC Penney in the Citadel mall in Colorado Springs in 1976. I was an E-1 and newly assigned at Cheyenne Mountain and wanted to try hunting jack rabbits.

I got a Glenfield Marlin 22 7-shot mag bolt action. Paid $25.

Went rabbit hunting with friends every break. Over the years, we moved up to Mule Deer, Elk and Pronghorns. Only bagged a couple but had a blast doing so. Left Colorado in 1979 for Otis AFB, Cape Cod Massachusetts, where they forced me to register the 22, as I had sold my 30-30. They were gun grabbers even then.

I still have my little “sweet Pea” sitting right over by the door for squirrels.

Colorado is full of KKKalifornia.

A once-beautiful conservative state has been thoroughly KKKalifornicated.

Awesome screwing! ...was it good for you too, Colorado?

Obviously, the tax is on weapons and ammo sold in State. Buy your ammo outside the state.

Great business opportunity for gun stores in New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, and maybe even a few miles of Arizona and Oklahoma close to the Colorado border.

Most likely this is going to help the Game and fish commission continue their work. But as Colorado has been Californicated over the last 40 years, who knows what it will pay for.

Yup. They fled California to Colorada -- and have turned Colorado into exactly the same garbage pile they fled.

Anyone need any more proof liberals are idiots?
