Former first lady Michelle Obama is frightened by President Donald Trump’s deportation policy, she discussed during an episode of the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast. Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, discussed fears they had growing up dealing with race issues, when she was asked to identify the “hardest recent test of that fear.” “In this current climate, for me it’s, you know, what’s happening to immigrants,” the former first lady replied, explaining that she is no longer fearful for herself — due to her celebrity status — but is instead fearful for illegal immigrants.

On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360,” CNN Senior Political and Global Affairs Commentator, former U.S. Ambassador to Japan, former Chicago Mayor, and former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel stated that “you can’t get tariffs high enough for me” on China due to their intellectual property theft and economic spying, but the Trump tariff plan is pushing Japan and South Korea towards China. Emanuel said that the Trump tariff plan is more damaging to America’s allies than its adversaries and added, “[J]ust take one part of the world I’m very familiar with in Asia, China, you can’t get tariffs high...

The United States government estimates that approximately 500,000 soldiers in the Ukrainian and Russian militaries have been killed or wounded on the battlefield to date. Shockingly, the real numbers are surely dramatically higher as both nations are known to deliberately undercount their casualties. Sorrowfully, those numbers don’t include the thousands of Ukrainian civilians killed or the millions who have fled the country.

Media personality and publicist Avri Gilad has questioned why the protests in the streets and at intersections have continued, even though the judicial reform likely will not pass, and called on the protesters to cease disrupting civilians' lives. In an Israel Hayom editorial, Gilad noted that he saw photos of the protest last week, noted that, "In Tel Aviv the number of Palestinian flags has greatly multiplied, in Haifa a Jewish protester held a sign showing pictures of the children killed in Gaza - and her hands were dipped in red." "The extreme left, which has not succeeded in buying...

DALLAS (KRON) — Ahead of the Golden State Warriors’ Western Conference Finals game against the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday, Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr passionately responded to the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that took the lives of at least 20 people. An emotional Kerr challenged senators to make a change and stormed off the podium after he was finished talking. “When are we gonna do something?” Kerr shouted, slamming the table he was sitting at. “I’m so tired of getting up here and offering condolences to the devastated families that are out there. … I’m tired of the moments of...

People's Convoy through Oregon
-
The dreams of the “People’s Convoy” quickly died in the Bay Area after a critical tactical error: turning onto a street with a Safeway and a group of bored kids. The trucker convoy, which aimed to emulate the disruptive Canadian protests against COVID-19 restrictions, has failed spectacularly at every turn. During a few weeks of driving around Washington, D.C., the convoy was held up by a single bicyclist, and some convoy members said they were having difficulty finding places for bathroom breaks and, as a result, were forced to urinate in their pants. After an anemic showing in Washington, the...

We shouldn't be mandating a vaccine that kills more people than it saves (and makes people more susceptible to the virus). A shame we can't find anyone who will actually look at the data, isn't it?Steve Kirsch1 hr ago I’ll be speaking at the “Convoy to Sacramento” event in Sacramento on Tues, April 19 to protest the mandates and the proposed California laws. The event starts at noon on the Capitol steps.Watch the video from CHD:

BC Broadcaster Rabbi YY Rubinstein announced he would resign from the broadcasting corporation due to "inexcusable" antisemitism on Monday. Rubinstein posted his resignation letter on Facebook, writing it is "a very sad moment" for him. He wrote that his resignation was sparked by the broadcaster's coverage of a group of Jewish teenagers being attacked on a bus in London.... ...Rubinstein's resignation follows the BBC being named on the Simon Wiesenthal Center's "global anti-semitism 2021 top ten list" in December. The report criticized the BBC for both their reporting of the bus incident, as well as statements from BBC reporters considered...

Users banned from social platforms go elsewhere with increased toxicity, according to a new study featuring researchers from Binghamton University, State University of New York. When people act like jerks on social media, one permanent response is to ban them from posting again. Take away the digital megaphone, the theory goes, and the hurtful or dishonest messages from those troublemakers won't post a problem there anymore. What happens after that, though? Where do those who have been 'deplatformed' go, and how does it affect their behavior in future? An international team of researchers—including Assistant Professor Jeremy Blackburn and Ph.D. candidate...

At this point in the pandemic, there is more good news than bad. Yet, our leading health officials are doing everything they can to convince the public otherwise. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a study late last week that says almost half of all U.S. adults have received at least one vaccine shot. More than 80% of vulnerable senior citizens have received one vaccine shot, and more than 65% of seniors have been fully vaccinated. In other words, herd immunity is well within reach — if we haven’t reached it already — and the most at-risk population...

When the bar closed at 10 p.m., surveilling Sheriff’s deputies waited until the crowd of customers dispersed, then moved to issue Presti another summons some distance from the bar, the source said. But Presti jumped into his car and drove into one of the deputies, sending the officer flying onto the hood — an assault that has been captured on video, the source alleged.

Former Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) said Wednesday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that “enough is enough,” adding that President Donald Trump and Republicans needed to accept former Vice President Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election. In a video, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) said, “Even after this office request that President Trump try and quell the violent rhetoric being born out of his continuing claims of winning the states where he obviously lost, he tweeted out, ‘Expose the massive voter fraud in Georgia.’ This is exactly the kind of language that’s at the base for a growing threat environment...

A new report from CNN says former White House chief of staff John Kelly has unloaded on his former boss in very stark terms in private. Since leaving the Trump administration, Kelly has made a few public comments criticizing President Donald Trump and his conduct in office, though he’s been more muted than others who have spoken out about their time working for Trump. Jake Tapper reported Friday on a quote from Kelly about the president that he has apparently told people close to him: “The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature...
