Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called the January 6th MAGA riot at the US Capitol 'an all-out attempted coup' and indicated her colleagues in the House were too scared to talk about it. The Democratic Congresswoman from New York said the day was an 'extraordinarily traumatizing event' and said it has affected relationships among members of Congress. 'It has deeply, deeply affected lawmaking, policy making and it's very quiet, it's not spoken about,' she told journalist Maria Hinojosa in an interview airing Friday on the weekly public radio show 'Latino USA' and shared in advance with NBC News.

President Obama referred to the Bible during a speech on immigration Tuesday in Nashville. But there was a problem: Strictly speaking, one of the lines he cited appears nowhere in scripture. "The good book says, don't throw stones in glass houses," the president said. "Or," he added, "make sure we're looking at the log in our eye before we are pointing out the mote in other folks' eyes."
