  • DeSantis unlikely to campaign for Trump

Miami Beach, FL (NewsNation) — The relationship between former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis remains fractured following a contentious 2024 presidential battle. At a press conference Wednesday morning, DeSantis sounded unlikely to campaign for Trump. When asked by NewsNation’s Libbey Dean if he would join the presumptive GOP nominee on the trail, DeSantis was hesitant to commit. The governor’s reasoning: Florida isn’t “competitive” enough for him to stump for Trump. “This is not going to be a state that’s competitive in November,” DeSantis said at a news conference. “So, I don’t anticipate there being much campaign here...

PARTY LEADERSHIP RECOMMENDING AVOID OHIO CONVENTION... Somewhat quietly, though not without some water-cooler discussion, the Republican Party Leadership is warning membership to stay away from the upcoming Cleveland Ohio convention. The media is describing the issue as centering around those elected politicians who may want to avoid the potential for divisive controversy. However, if you look at the actual landscape, and then look at the political ideology of those who are openly saying they are staying away, what you’ll notice is the RINO caucus, the ‘Decepticons’, are the most cautious. If you spend some time digging through the professional GOPe...

A pro-Trump Super-Pac that is NOT affiliated with the Trump campaign just released this ad. “The ad is being run by the Great America PAC, formed by former Tea Party Express leader Amy Kremer and businessman Bill Doddridge. In the 30-second ad, a mother helping her kids get ready, says: “Sure I get some grief when I say I’m voting for Donald Trump. But you know what, I want to protect my family. Paris, San Bernardino, and now Brussels — I want a president that will keep us safe. We need to control our borders and stop letting in dangerous...

Donald Trump has rescinded his pledge to support the Republican nominee for president. "We'll see who it is," he said Tuesday during a CNN town hall. He said he had been treated "unfairly" by the Republican National Committee and the GOP establishment. He said he was unsure whether the Republican establishment was plotting to take the nomination away from him during the convention in Cleveland. He also said he didn't need Cruz to promise to support him should Trump win the nomination. "I’m not asking for his support," Trump said.
  • Lyin’ Ted Cruz Campaign Refuses To Give FEC Details of Campaign Loans From Goldman Sachs

Interesting development. It appears the Cruz Campaign is planning to slow walk the information on the 2011/2012 campaign loans: (Yahoo News) Ted Cruz has rebuffed a request by the Federal Election Commission to disclose more information about some $1 million in loans he received from two major Wall Street banks during his 2012 Senate campaign. In a letter to the FEC this week, the treasurer of Cruz’s 2012 campaign turned down a request by agency auditors to reveal in writing “the complete terms” of two personal loans Cruz received from Goldman Sachs and Citibank — the proceeds of which, he...
