The man who was caught slaughtering a dog at the Nakuru dumpsite a few days ago has told a court that he did not know it was an offence. James Cheboto told Resident Magistrate Judicaster Nthuku that he was not aware that dog meat was unfit for human consumption and pleaded for leniency.
