The Democratic National Committee’s credentials panel voted Monday to void activist David Hogg’s election to vice chair of the party. Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 mass shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., was elected vice chair in February but has drawn criticism from some Democrats over his plans to spend $20 million to take down long-serving Democratic House lawmakers in primaries. “[It’s] impossible to ignore the broader context of my work to reform the party which loomed large over this vote,” Hogg said in a statement after the vote, according to Politico. “The DNC has...

VIDEORemember when Barack Obama was mocked while running for president in 2008 for thinking there were 57 states? Commentators at the time pointed out he probably made this absurd error because it might have been because there are 57 Islamic states in the world. Well, rather than being embarrassed by the notion of 57 states in the USA, Democrats have now seem to have EMBRACED the idea that there are 57 states in the union. And it isn't just loon on the street corner claiming he (or she) is a Democrat and screaming into the wind that there are 57...

The Chair of the Democratic National Committee has announced he will not seek to lead the party again following Kamala Harris' crushing election defeat. Jaime Harrison is not expected to bid for re-nomination next year, sources told Reuters. Harrison, who came under criticism for his strong backing to keep Joe Biden in the 2024 race, signaled his plans to leave the position before Tuesday's disappointing results for Democrats, the insiders said.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Tom Perez says the Trump administration is trying to "bully" local law enforcement over so-called sanctuary cities. “This administration not only is trying to bully law enforcement and make them ICE agents, but they’re trying to bully immigrant families,” Perez said in a statement Monday. “Local law enforcement know their communities best and the Trump administration is trying to undermine their role by threatening to take away critical funds that make our communities safe and keep criminals off the streets.” His comments came after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Monday that state and local governments...

ATLANTA — A progressive group charged Saturday that the Democratic National Committee’s reliance on paper ballots in the race for DNC chair raises questions of transparency, tainting the process.

The DNC had planned on using both an electronic system, as well as paper ballots, but switched gears minutes before the vote when interim Chair Donna Brazille announced they would rely on the ballots in part because of concerns over spotty internet service.

Democratic congressman and DNC chair front-runner Keith Ellison once said that “black people don’t live in a democracy” and “don’t have an obligation” to obey the government. Ellison made the comments at a 1992 protest after white police officers were acquitted in the beating of Rodney King. At least 63 people died in the racially charged riots following the verdict. Minnesota newspaper the Star Tribune quotes Ellison as telling a group of protesters in Minneapolis that “Black people do not live under a democracy.” “You don’t have an obligation to obey a government that considers you to be less than...

Dems, please, put him in charge According to The Hill, Keith Ellison is currently the frontrunner in the race to take over as the chairman of the DNC. That may have changed a bit since they presented their findings, but here’s what they said yesterday: Rep. Keith Ellison (Minn.) has the edge over former Labor secretary Tom Perez in The Hill’s new survey of DNC members. But while both men claim they are close to securing commitments from the majority of the 447 voting members, neither candidate is assured victory.

Days after the November election, the progressive wing of the Democratic Party was ascendant. There was no greater sign of its rising stature than the momentum Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota was enjoying in his race to chair the Democratic National Committee. Ellison, co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) during the 2016 presidential primary, was racking up endorsements not only from Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), but establishment figures as well, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers — both of...

Many people are noticing a rather familiar, albeit oddly timed, leftist “anti-Semitism” narrative being pushed into the media broadcasts over the past 36 hours. Yes, it seems to have come out of no-where. Why? No-one is really understanding what’s going on. Understandably, the right-side of the political continuum are referencing the media push from the position of their own camp; that makes them defensive. However, the actual motive of the professional corporate media to push this meme has nothing to do with President Trump or republicans – it’s an internal maneuver and transparently Clintonian. {..snip..}

New Hampshire Democrat Ray Buckley has dropped out of the race for Democratic National Committee chair and is throwing his support behind Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison. Buckley’s announcement comes a week before DNC members gather in Atlanta to choose a new chair. […] Ellison says if he wins, he’ll ask Buckley to lead a “new and innovative 57 state strategy” targeting the states and U.S. territories. …

The Man Who Most Deserves to Be DNC Chairman Keith Ellison's remarkable ties to Jew-haters, racists, and Islamic supremacists. In a recent interview with the Fox Business Network, legal scholar Alan Dershowitz announced that because of U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison's past ties to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, he (Dershowitz) is prepared to “resign [his] membership to the Democratic Party after 50 years of being a loyal Democrat” if Ellison is named as the next DNC chairman. It's actually hard to figure out exactly what's got Mr. Dershowitz in such a snit. It's not as if Ellison represents some type...

If there had been any doubts, President Barack Obama expunged them on Friday afternoon: The outgoing president wants his labor secretary, Thomas Perez, to succeed him as the top figure in the Democratic Party. ... “If you look at his body of work on behalf of working people, what he’s pushed for in terms of making sure that workers get a fair deal, decent wages, better benefits, that their safety is protected on the job, he has been extraordinary,” Obama said.

Fox News host Megyn Kelly had to remind Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz 4% that while there may be some vulgarity among the Republican candidates for president, "no one's facing the threat of indictment." During Fox News' primary election coverage on Tuesday, Wasserman Schultz suggested that candidates in the Republican Party are "talking about small hands and their manhood." Adding, "I mean really, we need to make sure that the Republicans at their next debate put a parental advisory warning on the screen before it starts because they certainly aren't talking about the issues that are important...

The DNC’s planned coronation of Hillary Clinton as the Democrats’ 2016 nominee has pretty much gone off the rails at this point, with far too many voters refusing to toe the line and the pesky FBI inserting doubts in the hearts of the faithful. You may recall that, at least until now, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz has been holding the line, insisting that her paltry schedule of six debates (four before Iowa) was sufficient and would keep the voters informed. Bernie Sanders, Martin O’Malley and some big names in her base have called out the obvious ploy and been screaming...

Judicial watch raised an interesting question this week regarding one of the more intriguing hires made by Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s team at the DNC. Did they violate the law by hiring an illegal alien? Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission requesting that it investigate the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for having “knowingly hired” an illegal alien, Cindy Nava, to help craft the committee’s 2016 political message and communications. Judicial Watch filed its complaint on August 25, 2015.A June 8, 2015, story in The Washington Post reported that the DNC hired Nava with full...

Martin O’Malley may not be on his way to the White House (or the Democrat nomination for that matter) but he’s at least proving useful in fomenting dissent among the progressive ranks. At the big DNC meeting in Minneapolis he took to the stage to launch an attack not on Donald Trump… not on his primary rival Hillary Clinton… but on Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. One of his chief complaints has to do with the debate format, which many are seeing as a way for DWS to establish a smooth glide path for Clinton to win the nomination. We’ve heard plenty of...
