With all the wailing and gnashing of teeth going on over the Supreme Court’s decision to end Roe vs. Wade and pass the lawmaking onus on to the states, the court’s decision to overturn New York’s ban on conceal carry and other gun rights might get buried in the chaos. Extreme leftist and corporate “journalist” Keith Olbermann certainly had a lot to say about it, though. Incensed by the idea that a government body might actually rule against common leftist policy, the calls for violence and even (*gasp) insurrection have been rising. Specifically, the left believes that intimidation or outright...

Egypt's State Commissioners Authority, a body that advises the government on legal issues, recommended on Monday the dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood, reports the daily Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram. In an announcement, the Authority also called for the group’s national headquarters in Cairo’s Moqattam to be closed. The recommendations were made in accordance with Law 84 of 2002, which prohibits non-government organizations and institutions from forming paramilitary groups. The Authority's recommendations to the government are non-binding, noted Al-Ahram. In March 2013, the Muslim Brotherhood, outlawed since the 1950s, was officially registered as a non-governmental organization by the Ministry of Social Security....

The Libyan authorities said late Saturday they had decided to dissolve all militias and armed groups that do not come under State authority, AFP reported. The move, a day after Benghazi residents rebelled against the militias in violence that killed at least 11 people and wounded over 70, was announced by Mohammed al-Megaryef, head of the national assembly, in the eastern city. The authorities also decided to put in place an "operations room" in Benghazi bringing together the army, forces of the interior ministry and defense ministry brigades comprising former rebels. They called on the army to impose its authority...

The National Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Richard Eubank, has moved to amend his organization's bylaws to dissolve its PAC, which is run independently. The PAC endorsed Democratic incumbents starting with Nancy Pelosi based on their votes on a relatively small number of votes to do with veterans in a year when many VFW members are siding against Democrats on broader policy concerns, and the PAC has already refused the VFW's entreaty that it "rescind" its endorsement. "[T]he recent endorsement decisions have, in fact, harmed the VFW’s reputation and future ability to fulfill our mission," writes Eubank in...

As the chances of Mr Brown surviving faded after the decision of the Work and Pensions Secretary to time the announcement of his departure as polls for European and local elections closed, the monarch will now consult her most senior advisers if Mr Brown loses his fight to stay in office. While the Queen still technically has the power to dissolve Parliament, in reality she only advises her prime ministers. It would be unprecedented for a second prime minister to move into 10 Downing Street without a general election. ..............................................

PLANET-DISSOLVING DUST CLOUD IS HEADED TOWARD EARTH!Monday September 12, 2005 By MIKE FOSTER CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Scared-stiff astronomers have detected a mysterious mass they've dubbed a "chaos cloud" that dissolves everything in its path, including comets, asteroids, planets and entire stars -- and it's headed directly toward Earth! Discovered April 6 by NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, the swirling, 10 million-mile- wide cosmic dust cloud has been likened to an "acid nebula" and is hurtling toward us at close to the speed of light -- making its estimated time of arrival 9:15 a.m. EDT on June 1, 2014. "The good news...

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - State Attorney General Bill Lockyer filed suit Friday to shut down a nonprofit group accused of illegally funneling taxpayer money into Secretary of State Kevin Shelley's campaign coffers. The lawsuit, filed in San Francisco County Superior Court, seeks to dissolve the San Francisco Neighbors Resource Center. It claims the group improperly diverted at least $168,750 in charitable funds to make $125,000 in donations to Shelley's campaign in 2001 and 2002. When Shelley was majority leader of the state Assembly in 2000, he helped arrange a $500,000 state grant for the center, which was founded in 1999...

I've read and heard enough to convince me that the so called "9-11 Commission" is nothing more then a parallel of the middle man trying to get some attention and turn that into a book (or something else) for profit. This commission is not going to give us any more info then that of which the average American citizen has already concluded! The commission is corrupt and might as well bury there head in a spot next to the UN "Oil for Food Commission". I appreciate our leaders trying to cooperate and I'm sure they at times feel embarrassed for...
