Two stars from the Seattle Seahawks took time away from the field to cut an ad shilling for Obamacare. The ad, posted Friday, features Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and rhetorically explosive cornerback Richard Sherman touting the benefits of President Obama’s healthcare law and its web portal Healthcare.gov.

Quick: If you had to pick one classic Christmas song that the thought police would deem racist, which would it be? If you said, “White Christmas,” congratulations! The 82nd Annual Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting last Wednesday was interrupted by protesters in the wake of the grand-jury decision to not indict an NYPD officer in the death of Eric Garner. The lighting went forward as planned, and Hootie & the Blowfish’s lead singer, Darius Rucker, sang Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas.”

It's something you would expect from a sanity challenged fringe blog or from the usual suspects such as the Democratic Underground or the Daily Kos. Instead the latest example of global warming wackiness is coming from the Gray Lady herself, the New York Times. This is an actual unchallenged quote in a Times article by Jennifer A. Kingson “Alaska is going to be the next Florida by the end of the century.”

.....and here’s the irony in Obama’s case — have the traditional white man’s view of that same Arab world — to wit, Arabs are crazy and primitive. (Yes, this is racist. And, in Obama’s case, undoubtedly leavened with a soupçon of anti-imperialist payback.) Ergo, pressure can only be put on Israel. This is not unique to the Obama administration. As was reported in the Jerusalem Post Monday:

A university-assigned textbook that appears to suggest former President Ronald Reagan was a sexist and says conservatives view individuals as lazy and corrupt is under fire from at least one student. “This is really outrageous,” Anna Chapman, a University of South Carolina student in the class, told Campus Reform. “[I]t’s so in your face, people need to know about it.”
