SIERRA VISTA — For Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the start of the campaign trail in Cochise County’s largest city was a wet one. Oakland County Clerk Ruth Johnson, a candidate for Michigan Secretary of State, says she has evidence of forgery in one of the candidate statements for the "Tea Party" political party. The supposed candidate, Aaron Tyler of Springfield Township, has been in Phoenix, AZ, and told Johnson's office that he did not wish to be a candidate, did not sign his name on candidate statement paperwork, and had no idea his name was in the process of being placed on the ballot.
