A snapshot of Intrade prices for various contracts was taken before and after the debate. It showed a mixed bag at the time. However, the CEO of Intrade has posted that there was a blatant market manipulation attempt to boost Obama's price. As a result of adjustments, what was a murky vision is now clear: Palin won big. This debate was unique at Intrade because there was a contract to trade based upon Intrade prices resulting after the debate. It was based upon my suggestion sent in to Intrade. ________________________________________________ 04/10/2008 02:04:27 Subject: Re:New Intrade VP Debate Contracts ko Director...

I know, the title is creepy, but before jumping at me, just consider these facts... 1. IT IS THE WORST TIME TO BE IN POWER FOR ANY NATIONAL PARTY America has been suffering the worst economic crisis since 1929. Americans are blaming the party ruling the executive branch for this rout, and that's why McCain numbers are so low. Now think that Obama will begin his presidency with America depressed. The power will be 100% controlled by Democrats, and the anger of the folks will turn against them. 2. DECMOCRATS WILL HATE OBAMA JUST AS THEY NOW HATE THEIR DEMOCRATIC...

I thought Romney was the clear winner, most of all in demeanor and general impact. I've been critical of Mitt's television communication skills in the past, but last night he was Presidential and effective. A viewer who knew nothing about the status of the race would have assumed, I think, that Romney was the front-runner and perhaps the candidate with the most stature. Headlines suggest that the other candidates were ganging up on Romney. I think that is overblown; it happened on only a couple of occasions. On those occasions, I thought Romney came across as the candidate who is...

CNN would have you believe that out of all the people THEY selected to ask video taped questions of the Republican presidential candidates the this evening at the CNN/YouTube debate they had no idea that Keith Kerr, retired Colonel., U.S. Army; retired Brigadier General, California National Reserve, was a member of a Hillary Clinton LGBT Steering Committee. Nor did they know was on the National Veterans for Kerry Steering Committee in 2004. CNN was, however, able to find this 13-year-old Mitt Romney quote about gays in the military to make Kerr's question into a booby-trap for Romney (From NewsBusters transcript):...

Though otherwise almost perfectly valueless, the South Carolina debate did prove one thing: three of the top four candidates -- Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Sen. John McCain and Gov. Mitt Romney -- are not conservatives by any reasonable definition. The debate was within reach of any of the three to win, and each nearly lost it. After the first Republican candidates’ encounter, in which Mayor Giuliani famously blew it on the issue of overturning Roe v. Wade, he had his big chance in Columbia last night. Fox News’ Chris Wallace asked him how he -- a pro-choice, pro-gun control Republican who...
