In gushes of anger, humor, acceptance and even gratitude, former Minneapolis City Council Member Dean Zimmermann readied himself for federal prison Thursday after a jury convicted him on three counts of political corruption. "Everything I was convicted of was manufactured by the FBI,'' Zimmermann contended as he left federal court in Minneapolis, where the verdict was read after an eight-day trial that concluded Wednesday.
