The remains of 13 American heroes are on their way back to Dover Air Force Base. Twelve US Marines, a Navy corpsman, US Army Soldier, and at least 160 Afghans were murdered by an Islamist suicide bomber in Kabul on Thursday. ..... Snip..... The White House declined to confirm if Joe Biden will meet the heroes when their plane lands at Dover Air Base. The Daily Mail reported:

As Sen. Mitt Romney touted his federal infrastructure bill Thursday, he also took a moment to recognize the deaths of U.S. military members in suicide bombings in Afghanistan, saying it was “wrong” to withdraw troops from the country. “We were wrong, both President [Donald] Trump and President [Joe] Biden, to take our troops out of Afghanistan,” Romney said. “... A tragedy occurred today. I hope there are no more.” The Utah Republican’s remarks came shortly after Biden gave a speech vowing to retaliate for the attack. Leading British newspaper Daily Mail reported that “Joe Biden was filmed crumbling after he called on Fox News journalist Peter Doocy at a press conference, only to be accused of failing to answer Doocy’s question.” The Daily Mail raised concerns about Joe Biden’s mental and medical condition: Biden, 78, looked lost for words after being asked if he bore responsibility for an ISIS-K suicide attack at Kabul Airport on Thursday that killed 13 US service personnel, before bowing his head and clutching a file tightly around his hands.

The U.S. ambassador in Kabul has told staff there that four U.S. Marines were killed in an explosion at the city’s airport and three wounded, a U.S. official with knowledge of the briefing said. Two explosions ripped through crowds of Afghans trying to enter the airport on Thursday. At least three U.S. troops were injured, a U.S. official said. Witnesses reported multiple fatalities among the Afghans, many of whom were trying to enter the airport because they had assisted U.S.-led coalition efforts and feared persecution by the Taliban.
