Well the leftists are at it again. They’re putting on their class warfare game face and heading to the “Big Apple” on 9-17-11 (Constitution Day) to participate in what they are calling a U.S. Day of Rage. Ahhhh good times. I discovered this article over at one of my daily stops Maggie’s Notebook. As I clicked through the links I was stunned to see just how misguided these useful idiots are over at the U.S. Day of Rage website. I recalled an article from a few months ago I read over at Moonbattery about Steve Lerner’s plan to create economic...

What, exactly, is a “US Day of Rage?” Well, on September 17th we may find out for certain, but until then, The Blaze is revealing what information does exist about this very nefarious-sounding campaign. A US Day of Rage is the title given to a day of ostensibly “non-violent” civil disobedience orchestrated by a group of radicals — that reportedly include SEIU’s Stephen Lerner and ACORN founder Wade Rathke (who, coincidentally, formerly served as president of SEIU’s local New Orleans branch) — targeting Wall Street and U.S. capitalism. It’s worth noting that the title of the movement — if its...

The riots that hit London and other English cities last week have the potential to spread beyond the British Isles. Class rage isn’t unique to England; in fact, it represents part of a growing global class chasm that threatens to undermine capitalism itself. The hardening of class divisions has been building for a generation, first in the West but increasingly in fast-developing countries such as China. The growing chasm between the classes has its roots in globalization, which has taken jobs from blue-collar and now even white-collar employees; technology, which has allowed the fleetest and richest companies and individuals to...

We thought this would be happening, now didn’t we. A movement is suddenly springing up from nowhere (ah-huh) to take on the free enterprise, “capitalist” system. In America, they are especially targeting Wall Street, a place still somewhat constitutionally sovereign to the U.S.A. and not thoroughly controlled yet by authoritarian global collectivism. That is a Wall Street which has already been damaged by the Cloward-Piven orchestrated mortgage meltdown and stemming from that was assailed by protorevolutionary Obama-Peloisi-Reid government, which brought boa constrictor regulation. Dodd-Frank came as “reform” very tough on small institutions, but with loopholes wide enough to shelter Brinks...

Mrs. MindBender and I keep a secure home; passive IR lights, alarm, long weapons in closet, hand guns close, planning, drills, etc. Due to worldwide "problems," we have gone to more lights on, long weapons next to bed, and taking the Glock 23s with extra mags with us whenever out of home 20. Anyone else?

I just noticed on Twitter and Facebook that the Left is calling for a US Day of Rage on September 17th. The Twitter #s are: #USDOR, #occupywallstreet, #revolution Facebook: Occupy Wall St. or US Day of Rage They invite people to occupy Wall Street and DC and State Capitals. Publius is Very Unhappy! Bring your tents! Wall Street belongs to us! Demand the the top 2% pay their fair share! Lots of tweets but the Facebook pages are low volume. In addition, there is a group of Muslim activists that are pushing this and in England for the rioters to...

Hundreds of protesters showed up outside Villa Park's city hall Tuesday to take a stand against a councilwoman whose anti-Muslim statements have gone viral. They spilled out from the council's chambers, holding American Flags and signs saying, "I am a Muslim, I am not a terrorist," referencing statements that Villa Park City Councilwoman Deborah Pauly made at a demonstration in February outside an event held by the Islamic Circle of North American Relief.

The price of oil is shaping up to be the number one economic story of 2011, and right now the eyes of the investing world are closely watching the developing situation in Saudi Arabia. All of the other recent Middle East revolutions have been organized on the Internet, and now all over Facebook and Twitter there are calls for a "Day of Rage" in Saudi Arabia on March 11. The Saudi monarchy is attempting to head off any protests by promising to give $37 billion in "benefits" to the people and by publicly proclaiming that all political demonstrations are specifically...

Leading intellectuals in Saudi Arabia have warned that grand financial gestures are no substitute for meaningful political reform, after King Abdullah unveiled a $36bn (£22bn) social welfare package in advance of planned anti-government protests next month. In a statement released on Thursday, a group of Saudi scholars called on the royal family to learn from recent uprisings in the Gulf and North Africa and to start listening to the voices of the kingdom's disenfranchised young people, some of whom are planning a "day of rage" on 11 March. Several Islamic thinkers, as well as a female academic and a poet,...

Saying that Muammar Gadhafi “has lost the confidence of his people,” (ya think?) the White House announced “sweeping unilateral sanctions” against the dictator’s regime today. Obama’s press secretary, Jay Carney explained that the following “crippling measures” will go into effect “more or less” immediately: Gadhafi must refrain from blaming the United States and al Qaeda for the Libyan uprising IN THE SAME SENTENCE. Beginning immediately, the colonel must only accuse one or the other at a time. Carney explained that since left-wing pundits have started to refer to Obama as an “Arabist,” the continued linkage of America and al Qaeda...

Columnist Charles Krauthammer recommends you circle the date March 11 on your calendars. That's the day, per Facebook, that organizers are hoping to start their own revolution in the Kingdom. Via The Daily Caller: “The big one is March 11,” Krauthammer said. “There’s a Facebook call in Saudi Arabia for a day of rage all over Saudi Arabia on March 11. Now, the Saudis have really good intelligence. They are tough. They’re ruthless and they’re effective. There isn’t a lot of anti-government activity in Saudi Arabia.”

Imagine what you would have thought when you were learning about government in grade school if the teacher had explained, “if a bill is brought before the Senate and your side doesn’t have enough votes to win…the correct thing to do is sneak out of town so that a vote cannot be held.” As Wisconsin Republicans tried to begin Senate business Thursday, observers in the gallery screamed “Freedom! Democracy! Unions!” Opponents cheered when a legislative leader announced there were not enough Senators present to proceed. Democracy in action? Hardly. More like mob mentality rules. Some on the left glowingly compared...

Having seized power in 1969, Libya's Moammar Khadafy is the doyen of Arab despots. Yet now he may face the same threat that toppled his personal friends (and fellow despots) in Tunisia and Egypt. The test will come tomorrow, when a coalition of opposition parties and personalities hopes to organize a "Day of Rage" against the maverick colonel's corrupt and repressive regime. The day marks the fifth anniversary of an uprising in the eastern cities of Benghazi, Al Bayda, Darna and Tobruk that was crushed by Khadafy's army with the help of a special unit sent by then-Tunisian President Zine...

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2011 (Reuters) — The United States has created a Twitter account in Farsi to communicate with social media users in Iran as Iranian opposition websites renewed calls for a rally on Monday. "The U.S. State Department recognizes the historic role of social media among Iranians in the world now. We want to join in your conversations," the State Department said on Sunday in the initial tweet on its new USAdarFarsi Twitter account. The Twitter account is the latest channel the U.S. government has opened for relaying its message to Iranians. Voice of America broadcasts Farsi news and...

TEHRAN, Feb. 14, 2011 (Reuters) — Hundreds of Iranians marched toward a Tehran square on Monday in a banned rally supporting popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, but their way was blocked by police and security forces, witnesses said. The march was a test of strength for the reformist opposition, which has not taken to the streets since December 2009, when eight people were killed. But Iranian security forces were still unlikely to hesitate to use all means to stop any protest. Opposition leaders Mirhossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi took advantage of official Iranian backing for the huge Arab street...

The world has been watching Egypt for over a week, waiting with baited breath to see what the outcome of the Day of Rage would be. As Americans, a people so sentimentally attached to the idea of liberty, it is easy for us to get caught up in what appears to be the struggle of an oppressed people. Perhaps a little too easy. We cannot let our heartstrings pull us away from our own struggle. While the developments in Egypt and the rest of the Middle East will have lasting consequences for us all, there is really very little...

IDF official: Neither Israel nor PA wants more conflict; police chief: This will not lead to third intifada.. After Hamas declared an official "day of rage" leading to clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces across Jerusalem on Tuesday, the violence seemed also to spread to other parts of the country. Assailants in the central Israeli city of Jaffa hurled rocks at two public buses, cracking the back window of one of them. Rocks were also thrown at a truck near Kibbutz Mishmar Hanegev in the south and at two vehicles in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Dor. There were...
