Hundreds of protesters showed up outside Villa Park's city hall Tuesday to take a stand against a councilwoman whose anti-Muslim statements have gone viral.
They spilled out from the council's chambers, holding American Flags and signs saying, "I am a Muslim, I am not a terrorist," referencing statements that Villa Park City Councilwoman Deborah Pauly made at a demonstration in February outside an event held by the Islamic Circle of North American Relief.

No, you only sympathize with terrorists, and enable them by your silence.
Yet were was their outrage on 9/11?
rest assured they will prove their innocence by threatening to kill Deborah.
They just can’t help themselves.
Thank you for this post La Enchiladita mia.
I watch mid easterners with a cold eye and they don’t like it it.
Trouble is there’s getting to be too many for me to see at one time.
she needs to wear a vest, laced with bacon to protect her.
Aren’t muslims taught to hate us infidels?
Sooner or later the Muslims will start something with the Hispanics. That’ll be interesting.
You are welcome.
Censure should cut both ways

Villa Park Councilwoman and Republican Party Vice Chair Deborah Pauly suddenly faces dissention within her own party and from the Muslim community.
...Monday, Ken Williams , a conservative Republican,[God help us] launched an effort to remove her from her party post. Meanwhile, the Islamic Circle is asking Muslims to show up at the Villa Park council meeting Tuesday to demand her censure.
Pauly has said, and she repeated Monday, she was only referring to two Muslims who were speaking at the event, Imam Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik-Ali . That isn’t clear in the edited video, but she says everyone there knew the context. Wahhaj was an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center attack. Malik-Ali can be seen in a video inciting Muslim UCI students, telling them that if Jews in Israel are willing to be martyrs, they need to be as well. “They (Jews) know this is a new day. ... What do we do? Might be another 9/11.”
How can you tell them apart?
Begins hell! It began several years ago. It is racheting up day by day. They now have their man in the White House, the Court system, the education system, the main stream media, and homeland security bows down to them and kisses their ass at every opportunity.
To hear them tell it, no Muslim has ever been a terrorist.
“I am a Muslim, I am not a terrorist,”
It might be true that all muslims are not terrorists, but it is also true that all terrorists are muslims, or nearly so, and the rest are clearly sympatical to them
So what about the Muslim leaders? Why doesn’t the Muslim community condemn them? Why were they even invited to speak? I put this to two spokespersons for Southern California Muslims, Munira Syeda of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and Waqas Syed of the Islamic Circle.
...Pauly’s speech could be construed as inciting violence. By the same token, Malik-Ali clearly was inciting violence. Any Muslim group that wants to better Islamic-American relations should go just as far as the Villa Park City Council is being asked to go with Pauly: They should publicly censure him.
Waiting..........
“How can you tell them apart?”
The Muslims drive better cars.
one smells of salsa the other of C-4
Pauly was first elected to the central committee in 2006. She describes herself as a blended Tea Party and establishment Republican. January’s election saw her win first vice chair of the party.
She has made it clear that one of her goals is to bring attention to the threat of Islamic terrorism and an ideology that some suspect is incompatible with American style democracy. [I agree!]
Pauly has said that her comments were directed at two keynote speakers at the event — Imam Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali.
Wahhaj was named along with 169 others as co-conspirators in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Wahhaj was never charged and has denied involvement. Malik Ali was reported to have made comments supporting Hezbollah, a Lebanese group that recently fought a war with Israel and is designated by the U.S. as a terrorist organization.
Hello! Mrs. Paul, an American citizen and patriot, has no First Amendment right to speak out against America’s enemies??? This is insane and frightening.
“I an a muslim, I am not a terrorist, and I will kill anyone who says I am one”
Hope you didn’t mind me fixing your statement.
