A family is grieving for a five-year-old boy who was shot to death in North Carolina. Police say Cannon Hinnant didn't die from a stray bullet or a neglected firearm -- they say a neighbor walked up to the child while he was playing outside with his siblings and shot him point-blank in the head. Cannon’s mother Bonny Waddell is speaking out about his death. “My baby didn’t deserve this,” Waddell said. “We lost a big piece of our family.” Waddell said she wants to see the death penalty given to the man accused of killing Cannon, 25-year-old Darius Sessoms....

WILSON, N.C. (WITN) - Police now say that a man wanted for the murder of a five-year-old is in custody. Darius Sessoms, 25, was arrested by Wilson police and the U.S. Marshals’ Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force. Police say Sessoms was located inside a residence in Goldsboro. He’s charged with 1st degree murder and is being held with no bond.
