Tuscon sportscaster Paul Cicala deleted his Twitter account after receiving blowback on social media on Thursday night for his tweets suggesting that a supporter of Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump who was assaulted by protesters provoked the attack by pointing “to her Trump shirt.” Cicala’s tweets were in response to the images and video tweeted by NBC’s Jacob Rascon showing a Trump supporter being assault after Thursday’s rally in San Jose, California.

Conservative Review editor Daniel Horowitz joined Breitbart News Daily with host Stephen K. Bannon to discuss House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) upcoming steps to fund Obama’s dangerous "prison break" agenda that includes retroactively freeing drug traffickers, even as the public's concerns about a new crime wave grow. In broader terms, Senators Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), both now competing for the Republican presidential nomination, seemed solidly defined on opposite ends of the political battle over immigration. Cruz was seen as the hardliner, Rubio the appeaser tied to the now infamous 2013 Gang of Eight legislation. While the primary politics of 2016 may not afford movement conservatives a great many opportunities to take on establishment Republicans in primaries, there si one notable exception. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will be 80 years old, if or when he stands for re-election. On top of that, he's the establishment Republican many conservatives love to hate most and there are reasons to think he's vulnerable. Issues-wise, he's weak on immigration, the Bush tax cuts and cap and trade. There also appear to be viable challengers, should McCain opt to not retire, as many either wish, or believe he should. In 9-plus years of blogging, never have I seen a story this telling of a Republican Party that doesn't understand its base, or New Media.
