Politicians of old wanted to persuade the public by capturing hearts and minds, but today’s pols find more value in capturing our tongues. They want all Americans to take the most paranoid position on how dangerous our majority-white nation is for its non-white citizens. Since the 2017 Charlottesville chaos involving a clash between a faction of neo-Nazis and protesters, notable Democrats (including President Joe Biden) have mimicked a broken record as they repeat the phrase that pays: White supremacy is the greatest threat to our nation. But the Democratic mission of defeating white supremacy quickly moved from decrying a fringe...

Minnesota will soon ban faithful Christians, Muslims, and Jews from teaching in public schools by requiring that every state-certified teacher “fosters an environment that ensures student identities such as … gender identity … are … affirmed.” Once the new requirements clear a final procedural hurdle, they will be immediately challenged in state and possibly federal court, a civil liberties lawyer told The Federalist on Tuesday. “We have lots of parents who are upset by this sort of thing in schools already,” said Doug Seaton, president of Minnesota’s Upper Midwest Law Center, in an interview. “They’re going to be even more...

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a Republican, signed seven executive orders to decrease the size of her state’s government, combat “indoctrination” and critical race theory in schools, and remove the term “Latinx” from government documents. During her inaugural address Tuesday, Sanders pledged to sign an executive order “preventing the political indoctrination of Arkansas’ schoolchildren.” “As long as I am governor,” she said, “our schools will focus on the skills our children need to get ahead in the modern world—not brainwashing our children with a left-wing political agenda.” The governor’s office sent copies of the executive orders to The Daily Signal....

The Washington Post issued a correction after conservative activist Chris Rufo slammed the paper for publishing what he called "flat-out lies" in an article about how Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) appointed him and five other people to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees. Rufo, a Manhattan Institute fellow, said Post reporter Valerie Strauss included "distortions, inaccuracies, and flat-out lies" in her article Saturday titled, "DeSantis moves to turn a progressive Fla. college into a conservative one." In a Twitter thread early Sunday morning, Rufo debunked five claims the paper made, including allegations that he has insisted systemic racism...

Republican Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders introduced an executive order Tuesday, her first official day in office, that would combat Critical Race Theory (CRT) in schools across the state. The Daily Caller first obtained the executive order that will empower the Department of Education to prevent indoctrination and CRT of Arkansas students that conflict with principles of equal protection under the law. The order will also prohibit employees and students from having to attend CRT trainings and orientations. CRT holds that America is fundamentally racist, yet it teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race....

When it comes to fighting the power, Prof. Mark J. Perry is doing it. He’s been filing complaints for civil rights violations against universities that discriminate on the basis of race and sex – for example, establishing all-women or all-minority scholarships or programs – because doing so, even if it’s for fashionable reasons, is against the law. I asked him a to talk about what he’s doing and why, and at the end he has some advice on how you can help, and an offer of assistance. I chime in with some other things you can do. 1. Please describe...

“FWIW, @ByronDonalds is not a historic candidate for Speaker. He is a prop. Despite being Black, he supports a policy agenda intent on upholding and perpetuating white supremacy. His name being in the mix is not progress — it’s pathetic,” Bush tweeted Wednesday. If progressives like Bush actually cared about black people being used as props or tokens, she would have had a problem with Joe Biden wanting specifically a black woman to be his vice president before selecting Kamala Harris. She would have wagged her finger at Democratic pundits and strategists advocating a black female to take a Supreme...

Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) has increasingly found himself in the news, especially recently when it comes to calling on Attorney General Jason Miyares, also a Republican to use his authority to investigate Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ) for reportedly withholding merit scholarship notifications until it was too late. Youngkin is once more in the news, as a majority of Virginians support his involvement and want to see him take action on the education issue, among others. This is according to a recently-released poll conducted last month by the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public...

A Loudoun County father, whose arrest at a June 2021 school board meeting was used by the Biden administration to justify a politicized attack on concerned parents, was found not guilty of trespassing on Wednesday. Law enforcement arrested Jon Tigges at a Loudoun school board meeting on June 22, 2021, after he tried expressing concerns about the school district’s “moral decay.” A Virginia district judge found Tigges guilty in October of 2021. Loudoun Circuit Judge Douglas Fleming Jr., however, cleared Tigges of any wrongdoing.Fleming determined that Tigges not only had a First Amendment right to attend the heated meeting but...

Hulu, the video subscription service, released on Tuesday a preview of its upcoming docuseries, an adaptation of New York Times journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones' controversial endeavor, "The 1619 Project." The project, which Hannah-Jones launched in 2019, "aims to reframe the country's history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of our national narrative." Supporters of the project believe that Americans need to be reeducated about the impact "anti-Black racism and inequality" has had on the country's past and present. However, the project's historical accuracy has been repeatedly contested and debunked. Roger Ross...

Bryan Griffin, Press Secretary for Gov. Ron DeSantis, announced on Wednesday that all State University System members are required to report expenditures and resources utilized for campus activities related to diversity, equity and inclusion, and critical race theory. The memo, sent to Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz Jr. and State University System Chancellor Ray Rodrigues, outlines a document that will provide a comprehensive list of all staff, programs, and campus activities that might fall under the categorization of diversity, equity and inclusion, or critical race theory. As part of the process, each institution must provide a description of the activity...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' office has requested data on courses and programs that include “diversity, equity and inclusion” and “critical race theory” despite legal challenges to his law restricting such content. ABC News has obtained a copy of the Dec. 28 governor’s memo. In the memo, Office of Policy and Budget Director Chris Spencer asked State University System and Florida College System administrators to document “the expenditure of state resources on programs and initiatives... ...Schools are told to send this information no later than Friday, Jan. 13, according to the memo. This memo comes almost two months after a judge...

A southern California school district voted to ban Critical Race Theory (CRT) in the new school board’s first meeting. California’s Temecula Valley Unified School District voted 3-2 to ban CRT just after a conservative majority had been sworn in. The resolution banning Critical Race Theory stated “The TVUSD desires to uplift and unite students by not imposing the responsibility of historical transgressions in the past and instead will engage students of all cultures in age-appropriate critical thinking that helps students navigate the past, present, and future.”

It’s easy to roll one’s eyes at the sheer idiocy of academics, but it would be a mistake to dismiss their cultural power. The academia to established practice pipeline isn’t 50 or 100 years now, but a decade or less. Niche academic theories such as critical race theory have become standard fare in elementary schools, and every corporation has a DEI department. The society we live in was first designed in obscure academic departments and became reality once it filtered through the MSM, Hollywood, corporate America, public schools. The insanity we see everywhere today has been born out of academic...

People are waking up to the Marxist onslaught facing our nation. If you still don’t see the pile of bolshie we are up against, ... Communism comes disguised as virtue. Rarely does a despot announce, “I’m here to control every aspect of every life I chose not to murder,” though Schwab is pretty upfront about his planned fascism. Actually, Hitler was too. ... Black Lives Matter. Critical race theory. Climate change. ESG–Environmental, Social and Governance.. ... Marxist Goal #17: Get control of the schools. ... Critical race theory is another Marxist attempt to make white people the bad guys. ......

Texas Republican Representative Carl Tepper has introduced a bill that seeks to forbid diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at all public universities in the Lonestar State. The bill, introduced Dec. 13, seeks to ban “the funding, promotion, sponsorship or support of any office of diversity, equity and inclusion” as well as any “initiative or formulation of diversity, equity and inclusion beyond what is necessary to uphold the equal protection of the laws under the Fourteenth Amendment.” The legislation, HB 1006, also seeks to mandate that all higher education institutions adopt a policy that “demonstrates a commitment to intellectual freedom and...

I ran across this video on Twitter (where cringe goes to multiply) and couldn’t decide whether to laugh or cringe in disgust. It perfectly encapsulates a form of White liberal virtue signaling that uses performative self-hatred to project an underlying sense of moral superiority. This video was filmed at a Unitarian Universalist Church in Brookfield WI, and features 3 White women playing Anti-Racist Jeopardy with a White man in the role of quizmaster. I love it because it features white people performing a kind of self-abasement that serves no purpose other than to elevate themselves above the hoi polloi. It...

There's no silver cloud for which the identity-politics crowd can't detect a downbeat lining! Take the news of black women being appointed to some of the country's most prestigious positions. You'd think that would be cause for unqualified celebration in liberal circles. But not so fast! On Mehdi Hasan's MSNBC show today, guest host Melissa Murray led a segment on "the glass cliff." The notion is that women, particularly women of color, tend only to be appointed to prestigious positions at institutions that are in crisis, and thereby are being "set up to fail."Get the rest of the story and...

For years, two administrators at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ) have been withholding notifications of National Merit awards from the school’s families, most of them Asian, thus denying students the right to use those awards to boost their college-admission prospects and earn scholarships. This episode has emerged amid the school district’s new strategy of “equal outcomes for every student, without exception.” School administrators, for instance, have implemented an “equitable grading” policy that eliminates zeros, gives students a grade of 50 percent just for showing up, and assigns a cryptic code of “NTI” for assignments not turned...

In San Francisco, the Asian-American community has drawn a lot of press for having had it up to here with crime, bums, dereliction, drugs, hookers, lootings, wokester education, and openly declared violent hate-crimes on the street. They threw out a slew of Board of Education wokesters plus the wokester let-'em-out district attorney, Chesa Boudin, in recall earlier this year, but little has changed, wokerism remains, the mayor isn't up to the job because she still thinks the solution is to throw money at the problems, and the crime keeps spreading. With no plan in action, citizens there elected more Democrats...
