PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE, Man. -- A man who admitted to shooting a Manitoba RCMP officer in the face has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, but will be out sooner than that. Twenty-four-year old Michael Gary Regamy told Court of Queen's Bench he was sorry for the shooting of Const. Mike Templeton almost four years ago. Justice Albert Clearwater called the shooting a serious crime but said Regamy can be rehabilitated.
