He’s got jokes. Michelle Obama said her husband, Barack Obama, joked she was “next up” after her mom, Marian Robinson, passed away at age 86 in May 2024. During Wednesday’s episode of the former first lady and her brother Craig Robinson’s “IMO” podcast, Michelle recalled a conversation she had with the 44th president of the US. “I guess if anything, with mom’s loss, I think that — thank God you’re my big brother and I have a husband who’s older,” she told Craig, 63. “Barack was saying, you know, ‘Well, you’re next up.’ I was like, ‘I’m not really ready...

Craig and Kelly Robinson, former first lady Michelle Obama’s brother and sister-in-law, have sued their children’s school for alleged racial bias, CNN reported Thursday, after their two children were disenrolled from the school. The Robinsons in their suit state that the prestigious University School of Milwaukee notified the couple that their children — ages 9 and 11 — would not be permitted back at the school for the 2021-2022 school year. A portion of the letter sent at the end of last school year and obtained by CNN said, “We cannot continue a relationship with your family.” The Robinsons said...

The brother of former first lady Michelle Obama, and his wife are suing the University School of Milwaukee, alleging that administrators expelled their two sons after they complained of racist bias during virtual lessons. Craig and Kelly Robinson filed a lawsuit against the pricey Pre-K-12 school this week after alleging that the private school used words like 'plantation' inappropriately during lessons. They also claim that teachers were inconsiderate to a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds. The complaint alleges that the school retaliated against their family - whose kids are aged nine and 11 - after they submitted reports in January...

(CNSNews.com) – At a summit by the Aspen Institute’s Project Play, first lady Michelle Obama said Tuesday that some U.S. communities are “play deserts,” because they don’t have sufficient opportunities for kids to participate in sports and other outdoor activities, compared to wealthy communities. “So many communities are becoming play deserts, but in wealthy communities, there is a wealth of resources. You can be in field hockey, or you can learn how to swim. There are aquatic centers and -- I’ve seen the difference. The disparities are amazing to me,” she said. As CNSNews.com previously reported, the Obama administration coined...

One team President Barack Obama didn’t have the opportunity to pick when he joined ESPN this week to fill out his NCAA March Madness bracket was Oregon State, which has yet to recover from a disastrous six years under the guidance of his brother-in-law, Craig Robinson. Robinson, Michelle Obama’s brother, was fired by Oregon State after six straight disappointing seasons as head coach—the team went 39–69 in the Pac 12 and never made the NCAA Tournament or the NIT. Not only did Robinson fail to get results at Oregon State, he also left a mess for new coach Wayne Tinkle....

I’m pretty sure that Iowa Congressman Steve King thought that his detractors would give it a rest for a while after he defeated his Democrat opponent by 24 points earlier this month. Yet once again headlines like, “Stay away from Steve King,” have been published this week. This time it’s not the liberals who are ranting and raving about King, its nameless “Republican insiders” and a conservative blogger from the Washington Post. On Tuesday, King announced that he is partnering with Citizens United to put on a 2016 presidential forum in Des Moines on January 24th called the Iowa Freedom...

Is it possible to be the anti-establishment candidate in a Republican primary for the U.S. Senate and be the choice of the Republican establishment in your state at the same time? By definition, this would seem impossible. Yet, State Senator Joni Ernst has managed to be the establishment backed, anti-establishment candidate in Iowa’s Republican U.S. Senate primary. Iowa’s Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds was an early endorser of Ernst’s campaign, and Governor Terry Branstad has reportedly been helpful behind the scenes, especially in the fundraising department. Ernst has also been backed by national Republican establishment figures like Mitt Romney, Sen. John...

Oregon State fired head coach Craig Robinson on Sunday night, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. In six seasons, Robinson went 93-104 with no NCAA tournament appearances. The Beavers went 16-16 last season and are losing all five starters from that team. The biggest surprise of the firing of Robinson, the brother-in-law of President Barack Obama, comes with the timing. Oregon State's season ended six weeks ago with a loss to Radford in the CBI and Robinson had reportedly received support from Oregon State's administration. Robinson has three more years remaining on this contract and the university...

While families across the Midwest were reeling from tornadoes and storm damage, President Obama spent four hours playing golf Sunday (his 151st round of golf as president) and then took in a college basketball game at the University of Maryland. The Maryland Terrapins were taking on the Oregon State Beavers, coached by Michelle's older brother Craig Robinson. What a great day for the president! His two favorite sports in one day. What, me worry? But it was not all sweetness and light. You see, the fans actually booed him. And people were Tweeting about it. (via Fire Andrea Mitchell):

After an 8 -11 start (2-5) in the Pac 10 conference, Mr. Bob DeCarolis, who’s the Athletic Director of Oregon State University, was considering weather to fire their Basketball Coach Craig Robinson. When word reached the Undersecretary of Education Martha Kanter in Washington, $17 million of stimulus money was immediately dispatched to the University to save Basketball Coach Craig Robinson’s job. Thanks to Obama’s slush fund, Coach Craig Robinson’s job was saved. For those of you unfamiliar with Coach Robinson, he just so happens to be the brother in law of none other than our country's beloved President Obama, the...

Oregon State Beavers men's basketball coach Craig Robinson seems to have been victimized by the curse of his brother-in-law, President Barack Obama.

This Thanksgiving weekend, the First Family did the same thing many Americans families did – catch a game. For the Obamas, the game of choice was basketball. The Beavers of Oregon State, where Michelle Obama’s brother Craig Robinson is the head coach, were in town to play the George Washington University Colonials last night. The game was a family affair with Barack, Michelle, Sasha and Malia Obama as well as grandmother Miriam Robinson, arriving at the Smith Center shortly before the game began. Fans were required to go through airport-like security before entering the arena. While there was no official...

NEW YORK - Michelle Obama's brother is working on a book, part tribute to his family and part inspirational guide. "I've been privileged to know some extraordinary people in my life," Craig Robinson, whose "A Game of Character" will be published next year by Gotham Books, said in a statement issued Thursday. "I've watched as my sister Michelle, a rock of a mother, became a leader in her own right. My brother-in law, President Barack Obama, who I knew from the first time I met him had something special, continues to inspire all of us." Robinson, who coaches men's basketball...
