"I looooove Kentucky Fried Chicken! I LOVE IT!!!" That was my wife recently gushing over a fresh bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Her emphatic enthusiasm in her thick Venezuelan accent would make for a great KFC commercial. It was one of those things that you had to be there to appreciate.Anyway, you get the idea of how much we enjoy KFC here. I find opening a fresh bucket of KFC to be positively intoxicating. Therefore I am always looking for good KFC deals. Yesterday, I thought I had a good deal with a 10 piece bucket for $11. However,...

The typical modern American supermarket stocks 48,000 items, each battling for precious shelf space. How do they get there? Why are they arranged the way they are? Did you know that some stores use heat maps to track which aisles you walk down — and which ones you don't? Or that they put the milk at the end of the aisle so you're forced to pass a hundred other items on your way to get it? It's all done to gain an edge in a cutthroat business built on razor-thin margins. CNBC’s Tyler Mathisen goes behind the scenes for a...

What if I were to offer you $10 for every 54 cents you give me. Even better, to sweeten the deal for you, I would kick in 30 bucks worth of stuff for FREE. Sounds like a fantasy. Too good to be true, right? Well, guess again because that is EXACTLY what I did today many times over.

Any other Walgreens shoppers out there who have been using the Super Jingles Cash deal? I have BAD news for you. Walgreens has BROKEN their promise. From last Sunday until yesterday, if you spent at least $25 at Walgreens (BEFORE coupons) you got $5 back. Because of my great coupon skills I was getting anywhere from $25 to $40 worth of stuff for much less than a buck out of pocket PLUS I earned $5 Super Jingles Cash. Soooo...today I go out in the morning and did a typical deal with the coupons again and guess what? NO super jingles...

Profiling. That word has taken on such an ugly connotation in recent years. And yet, if you want to be a successful couponer, you MUST profile. And don't feel guilty about profiling cashiers. We all profile in one way or another. Those "enlightened" souls who claim they don't profile are lying. In fact, they are probably profiling people more than the rest of us.My favorite part of the recent TLC show, "Extreme Couponing" was when Joanie Demer aka Krazy Coupon Lady flat out admitted that she profiles cashiers. And how does she profile the cashiers? As Joanie stated she...
