El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele has declared himself the world’s “coolest dictator.” The 40-year-old, who has nearly 3 million followers on Twitter, had initially changed his Twitter bio Sunday to proclaim himself the “dictator” of the Central American country. Bukele then upgraded his self-proclaimed status Tuesday by changing his profile to say: “The coolest dictator in the world.” The president has come under criticism of late regarding accusations of autocratic tendencies and concerns about his increasing concentration of power.

They may be witnessing their global superpower influence decline in the face of challenges from other emerging players on the world stage, but Americans have been voted the world's "coolest nationality" in an international poll. Social networking site Badoo.com asked 30,000 people across 15 countries to name the coolest nationality and also found that the Spanish were considered the coolest Europeans, Brazilians the coolest Latin Americans and Belgians the globe's least cool nationality. "We hear a lot in the media about anti-Americanism," says Lloyd Price, Badoo's Director of Marketing. "But we sometimes forget how many people across the world consider...

There was a time, maybe thirty or forty years ago, before cable TV and cell phones, where one man could be so impressive in his accomplishments and force of personality, he would almost universally be recognized as the coolest man in America. His field could range from medicine, science, sports, politics or entertainment. Since the advent of the internet, though, this is no longer possible. Who, in your opinion, was the last "coolest man in America"?

Yep, the bad news is in for all the folks all worked up about that non-existent phenomenon known as Global Warming. Turns out that once again the settled science shows the earth is cooling. October turned out to be one for the record books. We don't need no stinkin' Cap and Trade.

COOL canine Fei Fei left other dogs in the shade after his owner bought him a pair of sunglasses as a joke. But now the fashion mad mutt refuses to leave owner Bo Lee's home in Chongqing, central China, without being given his wraparound shades! "I think he likes all the attention he gets on the street," said Lee. "I bought them to protect his eyes but now if I try to leave the apartment without them he howls the place down," he told the Austrian Times.

BEFORE THIS MONTH IS OVER, the Legislature and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger have a chance to make California a world leader in reducing global warming. It's an opportunity the state — and the rest of the planet, for that matter — can't afford to miss. The Global Warming Solutions Act, or AB 32, would place limits on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases emitted in the state, codifying pollution goals Schwarzenegger approved last year. ... --snip-- Some business leaders, however, including the California Chamber of Commerce, worry that the bill is a "job killer." They say it would increase costs for...
