An inspiration and idol to countless girls, Kalpana Chawla was the first Indian woman to fly in space. Born on 17 March 1962, in Karnal, Haryana. She acquired her Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh in 1982. After completing her graduation in Engineering, she moved from India to the US in 1982 and made her first space trip aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia in 1997. I recently stumbled across the fact that the latitude of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem passes through Palestine, Texas. This little town is famous as the location of the Columbia Disaster that killed seven astronauts, including the first Israeli astronaut. The connection of the Israeli and the name of "Palestine" was considered remarkable at the time. The Temple Mount latitude makes it something more. Did anyone hear Fox TV report that an AP reporter added a smear in a profile of the crew? This was between 12:30 and 1:00 I believe. The Fox person apologized and slammed AP writer. Did anyone hear this besides me? What is AP thinking besides their normal hate selves.
