FORT LAUDERDALE Nearly three years after a fellow student shot and killed Amanda Collette in the hallway of Dillard High School, the Broward County School Board has agreed to pay her parents $525,000. Board members voted unanimously Wednesday to settle a civil lawsuit brought last year by the 15-year-old victim's parents, Joyce Collette and Thomas Crowther.
