Today in “The Adventures of Florida Man,” one intelectually-challenged individual thought he had pulled off a major heist but then squandered it all away for a lack of due diligence and patience. The criminal stole rare coins and then cashed them in for a fraction of their actual worth. Peak Florida man right here. Andreas Flaten’s former employer dumped at least 90,000 pennies on his driveway last month as a form of final payment for his work at an auto shop, he said. Flaten said his former employer — A OK Walker Autoworks in Peachtree City — owed him $915 after he left his job there in November. He...

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man is trying to get rid of his pennies - all 1 million of them. Ron England bet his brother 30 years ago that he could save a million pennies in exchange for a dinner in Paris. And he did, eventually stacking up 20,000 rolls that fill 13 boxes in his garage. Now that he's moving, England wants to cash in the $10,000 in coppers, which weigh 3.6 tons, but is having a tough time finding someone who will take them without a price. ``I've been working seriously for the past two weeks to get...
