The White House reacted harshly Wednesday after a protester at a House hearing got close enough to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to put her dyed hands in Rice’s face. White House spokeswoman Dana Perino, referencing the incident and calling it “despicable,” said it “seems that, increasingly, Congress is being run by Code Pink.” The anti-war group’s members are often arrested on Capitol Hill for disrupting congressional hearings and events. However, few protests have been as dramatic as Wednesday’s, at which protester Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz screamed at the secretary of State and yelled that the blood “of millions of Iraqis”...

Only one call to the police and no false alarm to the fire department this week in our continuing FReep to evict Code Pink's corporate lobbying HQ in a residential neighborhood. The one police call was from a neighbor. The problem arose while Kristinn was taking to Pinko Midge (BELOW). The gates to both residences were right adjacent to each other. While talking Kristinn had unknowingly drifted over by a step and was in front of the neighbor's gate. When the neighbor returned from walking her dog and had to ask Kristinn to move. Kristinn immediately did and continued talking...

A new front has opened in the war over the war: zoning regulations. Last week, the conservative grassroots organization FreeRepublic.com held its second protest outside the Northeast Washington house that serves as a base of operations for the anti-war group Code Pink. Along with other groups, FreeRepublic.com alleges that Code Pink has set up a “corporate lobbying office” in a residential neighborhood. According to a Free Republic release, neighbors have “complained of Code Pink-affiliated buses being parked on their street, increased traffic, loud gatherings, unkempt trash and strangers going in and out of the house at all hours of the...

Taking back the streets from Code Pinkos Note to smelly old hippies: "YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE ANY MORE." History was made this week in the battle against treason, defeatism and pacifism at any price. Hundreds upon hundreds of proud Americans took time away from their jobs and families in the middle of a Wednesday to march in the streets and say loudly and clearly that Code Pink and the anti-military left do not speak for America. And we beat them back in their own backyard – in the liberal stronghold of Berkeley, Calif. Berkeley was ground zero for the...

The U.S. Marine Corps recruiting station in Berkeley, Calif., has become a battleground for protesters. A "pro-troop" organization rally on Wednesday was aimed at countering anti-war protesters who have been demonstrating for the last three weeks. Code Pink, a leftist anti-war group, began protesting the nine-month-old recruitment center on Sept. 26. The group posted signs saying "recruiters are traitors" and "recruiters lie, children die." The group also sent a message to their supporters saying: "The Marines have landed in Berkeley! We are shocked and infuriated they have opened a despicable Officer Recruiting Station just blocks from Berkeley High School, UCB...

The anti-war group Code Pink has not only trashed a Marine recruiting office in Berkeley, but calls military recruiters “traitors.” Pam Meister looks at both historic and recent events that put these laughable claims into some important perspective. Click here to read this piece about Code Pink

Fidel Castro groupie Medea Benjamin, co-founder of the Marxist pro-terrorist group Code Pink, smeared Vietnam vets today in a statement at a protest held outside a Marine recruiting center in Berkely, California.Benjamin was there to counter Move America Forward, a pro-victory group that was holding a pro-troops rally at the recruiting center in response to Code Pink's efforts to have the recruiting center evicted from Berkeley.Wendy Patterson, reporting at 95210: The East Bay Blog, quoted Benjamin derisively referring to the pro-victory demonstrators:"There’s a lot of angry people over there with PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder], you know, Vietnam Vets. They have...

House Speaker Pelosi lashes out at antiwar protesters By Patrick Martin 15 October 2007 House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the most powerful Democrat in Washington, normally maintains a public display of sympathy towards the mass opposition to the war in Iraq—an opposition which propelled the Democrats into control of the House and Senate in the congressional elections last November. But in the course of a press interview October 9, reported the following morning in the Christian Science Monitor and the Washington Post, Pelosi gave vent to the resentment and hostility that leading Democrats actually feel towards the antiwar protest movement. The...

Berkeley -- Dozens of flag-waving military supporters squared off boisterously with peace activists today in the first major showdown over of a U.S. Marine Corps recruiting station that until recently had been operating below the radar in downtown Berkeley. Demonstrators led by conservative radio talk-show host Melanie Morgan shouted down members of Code Pink, a group spawned by Bay Area peace activists, as both lined Shattuck Avenue and Addison Street outside the recruiting station, which was closed today. Shortly before noon, there was a physical confrontation between the two camps, which prompted Berkeley police Sgt. Randy Files to bellow at...

Letters in Response to Capt. Lund and Code Pink • Editors, Daily Planet: Thank you for printing the letter by Captain Richard Lund. I work in a building on University Avenue. I am a woman, I am a mother, I am the wife of a veteran, I am a liberal, I am a democrat, I am a staunch opponent to this war, and I am an enemy of President Bush. And I am ashamed. Wars aren’t created by the military, they are created by politicians and their self- serving constituents. The Code Pink protest is an insult to the sacrifices...

Okay, I can think of quite a few individuals and organization more deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize than the DC Chapter of FreeRepublic.com. But Algore? Come on! Has Algore ever stood at the gate to prevent Code Pink from demoralizing our troops as they come and go? No! Has Algore ever visited the wounded troops at Walter Reed? I don't think so! In fact, Algore has done more to circumvent his own cause by bloviating more CO2 into the atmosphere than any other man or machine on the face of the Earth. But that's okay. We don't need...

Okay, it wasn't really a panty raid, but we did get the pinkos' panties in a bunch. Besides I like the headline. What the D.C. Chapter did do was hold a stealth freep of Code Pink at their Washington, D.C. headquarters this afternoon. The part about the bogus police, fire and BOLO calls is true.Six D.C. Chapter members, a member of Gathering of Eagles, Iraq war vet Phil Kiver and two of his friends went to the so-called Code Pink House at 712 5th St., NE (attn. Keith Olbermann, don't get your panties in a bunch: Code Pink publishes this...

'Scotty, beam them down'– to hell Liberal vigilantes are on a rampage these days, looking for people to string up, torment and silence. Like pretty much everything else they do, the liberals are targeting the good guys in the white hats and chumming up to the bad guys in the black hats. As I write this column, protesters with the anti-military liberal group Code Pink are waging campaigns of defamation, vandalism, harassment and intimidation against the United States Marines. Before this there was Rush Limbaugh, the godfather of the talk radio industry, who had to spend 10 days atomizing the...

Recently, Rush Limbaugh referred to Jesse MacBeth and similar frauds as "phony soldiers." Limbaugh was then smeared by Democrats' claims that he was slandering real troops. The double irony seemed to escape notice in the media. First, Limbaugh was defending real soldiers from the actual slanders from McBeth and other phonies who falsely claim that our troops have committed atrocities. Second, the Democrats are the party of Sen. Richard Durbin (IL) (U.S. troops at GITMO are like "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags or some mad regime --Pol Pot"), Sen. John Kerry (MA) (U.S. troops in Vietnam systematically acting "in fashion...

Well, Michelle Malkin got the story partially correct. Code Pink has been "squatting across [Nancy Pelosi's] residence, aggravating the neighbors, and hanging their clothes in her trees". I am one of the aggravated neighbors - and this "news" broke right outside my back gate through which I glared at the guitar strumming, wine-sipping, middle aged hippy ladies dressed like pink Mama Cass fairies, waving peace and anti-war signs at the honking cars streaming by. That was until the San Francisco police showed up and transformed my renowned neighbor's curb into a bright red, no parking - no protest oasis. So here's...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was in a determinedly good mood when she sat down to lunch with reporters yesterday. She entered the room beaming and, over the course of an hour, smiled no fewer than 31 times and got off at least 23 laughs. But her spirits soured instantly when somebody asked about the anger of the Democratic "base" over her failure to end the war in Iraq. "Look," she said, the chicken breast on her plate untouched. "I had, for five months, people sitting outside my home, going into my garden in San Francisco, angering neighbors, hanging their clothes...

So there I was, after battling DC traffic trying to get to the convention center for the AUSA show and what do I see... A pitiful little display of code pinkos...four in all..."protesting" the military-industrial complex, the baby-killing soldiers, Blackwater, or whatever their theme-o-the-week is in particular. I don't post very much any more (that durned real life getting in the way of the Internet), but when I saw that pitiful display of human refuse, my first thought was that I should've brought my camera so that I could post the pics up on Free Republic...so that everybody could have...

Remember all those dirty hippies who threatened to move to Canada if Bush was re-elected? Guess what, Canada doesn't want them either.... Peace activists Medea Benjamin and Ann Wright have been arrested in the U.S. while protesting the Iraq war, but they never dreamed that would prevent them from entering Canada. The arrests landed Benjamin's and Wright's names in an FBI-run database, the National Crime Information Center, which Canada also relies on to screen visitors. When the two women visited the country in August, they were told they would have to apply for "criminal rehabilitation" and pay $200 if they...
