Washington, December 2, 2005—With a powerful wind chill factor placing temperatures just a few degrees above zero in a dark night of December, once again Free Republic squared off against the failure-prone Code Pink "vigil" at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. And again, FReepers outnumbered the wacko Pinkos almost three-to-one. Since March 2005, ever since a conglomeration of DC radical leftists under the Code Pink banner decided to protest the Bush Administration outside Walter Reed every Friday night, Free Republic's DC Chapter has faced them off across the street. There's something so obnoxious, so distasteful, so just plain mean about...

The DRUDGE REPORT has learned from a top GOP operative that the Republican National Committee will provide state parties with a web video prior to release tomorrow afternoon that shows a white flag waving over images of Democrat leaders making anti-war remarks. The ad is in response to the controversial comments Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean and 2004 Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry made earlier in the week. A Democratic strategist who had the web ad described to her said, “This is way over the top but we have no one to blame but Dean, Kerry and others who continue...

The anti-American Marxist front group Code Pink has announced that they are canceling their planned trip to Cuba this month as a result of pressure by the Bush administration.Code Pink, which calls itself a peace group, had timed the trip to Fidel Castro's communist paradise to celebrate the anniversary of the success of his violent revolution this New Year's Eve. Plans for the trip included visits with local neighborhood groups that spy on fellow Cubans and report any counter-revoultionary behavior (like wanting freedom) to the Castro regime. The United States has maintained a strict travel embargo against Cuba which Code Pink...

Hillary Vs. Moonbats By Michelle Malkin December 7, 2005 Hillary Clinton is seeing pink. Code Pink. The unruly group of far-left female apologists for tyranny around the world, most infamous for prancing around in pastel lingerie to protest President Bush and the war on terror, has now launched a nationwide campaign against the New York senator because of her opposition to immediate troop withdrawals from Iraq. But don't weep for Hillary. Code Pink is the group that championed military deserters, cheered Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez, traipsed around the Jordan-Iraq border last year condemning America, prayed for the "people of Fallujah,"...

Terrorists Repeat Code Pink Propoganda In the recent article, “Tribal backlash against insurgents aids US in Iraq” by Antonio Castaneda reporting from Samara, Iraq published in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Dec 3, 2005, you see the following revelation: Last year, al-Qaida in Iraq, led by Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab Zarqawi, openly operated in Samarra, and the group's black flags fluttered from rooftops until U.S. forces regained control. CODE PINK: Supporting The Troops, Endorsing The ResistanceWhere do terrorists get the concept of their...

In an interview with WOAI-AM in San Antonio, Dean criticized what he called President Bush's "permanent commitment to a failed strategy" while saying, "We need to be out of there and take the targets off our troops' back." For the past two years, the old-line media has been more than willing to help broadcast the allegations made by the anti-war crowd that "Bush lied, soldiers died." However, no matter how many times the likes of Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan have made this allegation, they've never been able to make it stick. The only thing they've proven thus far is that they hold a twisted hatred of this country and feel consumed with resentment toward America's economic, military and political superiority. It turns out that it's not George Bush or Dick Cheney who has been lying to the...

The future of military recruiting at Harvard Law School hangs in the balance as the Supreme Court prepares to hear oral arguments in the high-profile Solomon Amendment case Tuesday morning. In case you’ve tuned out three years of protests and press conferences on campus, here’s the issue in a nutshell: the Solomon Amendment, first passed by Congress in 1994, blocks federal funding for universities that limit military recruitment. It poses a dilemma for Harvard Law School, which requires all on-campus recruiters to sign a pledge saying they won’t discriminate against gays and lesbians. The military, which bars gays and lesbians...

Just got back from the rally at Balboa Park this afternoon and since I have some time before the Chargers/Raiders game, I thought I post some pics I took (as promised).

Military recruiters visited Tucson-area high schools more than 1,300 times in the 2004-05 school year, but, contrary to critics' charges, did not appear to target poor or minority students, according to an analysis by the Arizona Daily Star of recruiter activity at 21 schools. Community support for the military seemed a bigger driving factor in where recruiters go, with high schools in conservative suburbs such Oro Valley, Marana and Vail drawing more military visits than those in many other parts of the city. For example, Ironwood Ridge High School in Oro Valley, one of the most heavily Anglo and well-off...

On Nov 25, the day after Thanksgiving, we had a good turnout of FReepers from the DC Chapter and beyond. It was a cold night, but there was little or no wind. This was FReep #32 as FReepers have countered Code Pinkos at their weekly obscene anti-war blood dance outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center as their have for 8 months now. We overheard a soldier telling off the Pinkos and we had a brief encounter with a Pinko who let on what they really think of our troops. Code Pink is truly stuck in a quagmire as FReepers severely...

Who's funding the insurgents in Iraq? The list of suspects is long: ex-Baathists, foreign jihadists, and angry Sunnis, to name a few. Now add to that roster hard-core Euroleftists.

Jagged little pill By Salena Zito, TRIBUNE-REVIEW If you harbored any lingering doubts as to the motivation of Cindy Sheehan, grieving mom turned Mother Peacenik, harbor no more. Sheehan's latest nerve-scraping -- an Internet-posted open letter to Barbara Bush -- reveals her in all her politically motivated glory. She sheds her usual passive-aggressive drivel and goes for the throat. "(My son) didn't want to go to Iraq, but he knew his duty. Your son went AWOL from a glamour unit," Sheehan writes.Childlike in her vitriol, she attacks Mrs. Bush for failing to raise a decent human being. And she accuses...

<p>On Nov 18 we had a great turnout of FReepers from the DC Chapter and beyond. It was a cool (wind chill 33 to 35 degrees), but relatively nice, evening. This was FReep #31 as FReepers have countered Code Pinkos at their weekly obscene anti-war blood dance outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center as their have for over 7 months. We had a great evening as the bus of wounded troops came back early from Fran O'Brien's, catching the leftists in disarray, as they were packing up. Also, we had a very nice visit from a police officer at the end of our night.</p>
