San Diego Rally for the Troops Dec. 4 [pics]

Just got back from the rally at Balboa Park this afternoon and since I have some time before the Chargers/Raiders game, I thought I post some pics I took (as promised).

It was a beautiful day in the park. I got there about an hour late and missed the Code Pinksters but got a chance to meet a few FReepers and had a great time. Protest Warriors were there as well.

All the time I was there, I didn't see a single negative reaction. Many, many folks driving by were honking, waving, cheering or giving us a thumbs-up.

Anyway, here they are.. it was awfully bright out and some of the pictures were a little washed out. I need to figure out how to adjust my camera to compensate.

I'll leave it to any of the other FReepers that were there to identify themselves in the pictures if they wish to.

Who's that wierd looking dude? (Some folks thought I was from the 'other side' when I first walked up lol)

As I was leaving the Parking lot, I finally got a glimps of the opposition.. looks like they were heading home...

Thanks for coming to the freep, it was nice to meet you.
Your photos are great and a good showing of many of the
freepers and Protest Warriors. We did our job when the code pinkos marched on elswhere and not near the Navy Hospital.

My deepest apologies. I was going to make a joke about me not being in the photos because I wasn't there and I wasn't. Please accept my apologies. I wish I had been there though; I love SD. I used to live in OB and I lived in North Park for awhile. Right now I live on the central coast (Watsonville CA) but I try to go to Diego whenever I can, which isn't often. I was there a couple of months back. I listen to KOGO all the time on the internet. (It's on now :). I enjoy Rush of course and Roger. I once sent Roger an email and he read it on the air. He read it on one of the few days I wasn't listening. I think the people of San Diego are the friendlest peoeple in CA and I enjoy going there. I keep planning to move back but life gets in the way. Anyway I apologize and I hope you live in San Diego. Still America's Finest City.

Thanks DR, a nice turn out with sunny high 60s weather.
Fun to watch the pinkos turn and go elsewherer. Lot of

I just couldn't help but take a picture of one of code pinko's cars. Amazing how much they will junk up their cars!

Our day was great (and we drove code pink off the corner and away from the Naval Hospital!) and it was wonderful meeting Trampled by Lambs (We did think he was an infiltrator at first! oops) and luvbach1. Of course, it's always a pleasure, SoCal!
