On right now. O'Donnell still winning. :)

Are the days of laughter about to stop? Tea Party movement member and GOP candidate for Senate in Delaware Christine O’Donnell has apparently made some big gains in the polls, seemingly with the twitch of a nose (and her debate performance against a notably stiffer Democrat Chris Coons)

CNN's Wolf Blitzer was engaging in a bit of hyperbole when he characterized Wednesday night's U.S. Senate debate at the University of Delaware as perhaps one of the most "widely watched" events of the 2010 campaign season. But there is little doubt that many people tuned into CNN just to see Republican candidate Christine O'Donnell, the Tea Party darling who - save for a highly publicized ad that had her declaring she's "not a witch" - has essentially gone underground since her stunning primary victory over U.S. Rep. Mike Castle in the state's GOP primary last month. What curious viewers...

The debate, which will be held at the University of Delaware in Newark, will be co-moderated by CNN's Wolf Blitzer, anchor of the Situation Room, and by longtime Delaware news anchor Nancy Karibjanian of Delaware First Media. ...

Meet Chris Coons, the Taxman. As New Castle County Executive, Coons couldn't find enough taxes to raise. In fact, he even petitioned the state legislature for new authority to levy even more taxes on items he couldn't tax before. Learn more about Chris Coons' tax schemes at www.coonsthetaxman.com

Quoting here: "... Those who got tickets said they were mostly interested in seeing O’Donnell, who has received much national and local press since she rode the Tea Party Express to victory in the Republican primary against longtime U.S. Rep. Mike Castle in September. ..."

News search again today, still shows no recent polling in the Christine O'Donnell race... The most recent available poll numbers, are now nearly 3 weeks stale.

Very interesting article in a local Delaware news site. Seems like Delaware, is starting to pay attention to Ms. O'Donnell. Unfortunately, the Delaware site the article is posted on, is on FR "do not post" list, due to copyright complaints... Worth searching for and reading, at the site: (site url below)

OK, this is now starting to seem a bit suspicious. Since almost immediately after her resounding primary victory, there have been no more recent Delaware Senate polls from (any) polling outfit I can find. Real Clear Politics' most recent is from the 18th of last month. That's the most recent. Several are 3 weeks old now. Ras has nothing -- just one "if the guy she beat runs independent, this is what happens" update he ran, about a week ago. Yet. Dems still seem quite focused and serious, that she must be defeated. There's a (lot) of Saul Alinsky going...

Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell doesn't need Facebook to dredge up her controversial past statements. As a sometime conservative pundit a decade ago on Bill Maher's former show, "Politically Incorrect", O'Donnell said (in an appearance that wasn't aired) that she dabbled in witchcraft. In the clip shown last night on Maher's current show, "Real Time," O'Donnell said: "I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. But I did, I did. ... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do....

A watchdog group says it plans to ask authorities in Delaware to investigate Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's finances.

Christine O'Donnell CAN Win Delaware Senate Seat, 2008 Campaign Manager Explains Contact: Jonathon Moseley, 703-656-1230 MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 15 /Christian Newswire/ -- Can Christine O'Donnell win the US Senate? As Christine's campaign manager for her 2008 primary, we planned how to win Delaware against formidable Joe Biden. Those detailed plans are still valid now against an unknown Democrat County Executive. Pundits drone that Delaware is "blue" (Democrat). Go drive around. Two of three counties have a down-home, conservative culture like Virginia. Even in Wilmington, these are largely Reagan Democrats. This is not Madison, Wisconsin. The industrial legacy of Wilmington has...

Christine O'Donnell is within striking distance of beating longtime Rep. Michael Castle in the primary. The state party leader says if she wins, the Democratic front-runner will prevail in November. Reporting from Dover, Del. — At a Tea Party Express rally last week, Christine O'Donnell bounded onto the stage and lit up the crowd with the same fiery style that has turned Tuesday's Senate primary into another battle for the future of the Republican Party. O'Donnell, a longtime activist who has made a career of crusading for abstinence-based sex education and other conservative issues, is now within striking distance of...

Over the past week, several political-insider wizards of smart have deemed Republican senatorial hopeful Christine O’Donnell unelectable – almost taking it to the point of vitriolic screeds you’d expect to hear from left-wing commentators, which would probably appear as a guest on MSNBC in their prime time lineup. Their issue: In an interview, O’Donnell had claimed she could be the potential target of political opponents and that she had to be extra careful when she would go home at night. “They’re following me,” she told The Weekly Standard. “They follow me home at night. I make sure that I come...

The Republican Party of Delaware has filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission, accusing one of its own Senate candidates of illegally collaborating with the Tea Party Express. Attorneys for the state party asked the FEC to launch an immediate and thorough investigation into conservative GOP candidate Christine O’Donnell “to remedy the alleged violations and to ensure that these violations immediately cease and do not reoccur,” according to the complaint filed Thursday. O’Donnell, who faces Rep. Mike Castle in Tuesday’s primary, came under fire from the state party shortly after tea party-backed candidate Joe Miller upset Sen. Lisa...

Regarding Delaware, the GOP primary there presents the question of how do we get the most conservative possible Congress: by electing a Republican in a blue state who will vote with us 50–60 percent of the time, or a Democrat who will vote with us basically never? That’s essentially the choice in the Castle-O’Donnell race, since O’Donnell would have a very hard time winning in the general election (even Castle will not necessarily have a cakewalk — Sean Trende points out that his lead over the Democrat Chris Coons does not look impregnable in such a Democratic state). In the...
