Police on Saturday were forced to detonate three beeping packages found in the parking lot of a busy Clermont shopping center, officials said. Clermont Police were called about 5 p.m. to the Clermont Landings shopping plaza along U.S. Highway 27 after the suspicious packages were found, police spokesman Michael McMaster said. Authorities found three small, square packages in between two vehicles in the parking lot. They were beeping and about 3-inches wide, McMaster said.
