In a shocking turn of events, the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir was interrupted and stopped while singing the National Anthem in Statuary Hall at the United States Capitol. The children, part of the esteemed Rushingbrook Children’s Choir, had traveled to Washington, D.C., for a scheduled Capitol tour and had received prior approval to sing a short set of patriotic songs inside the historic Statuary Hall. However, as their angelic voices filled the grand hall while singing The Star-Spangled Banner with pride, Capitol Police rudely intervened, insisting that the children stop singing immediately. The abrupt interruption stunned the young performers, the choir...

As one can readily see, Hillary Clinton has been unable to recover from having lost the 2016 presidential election -- a self-inflicted wound that she will never cop to. Or, possibly, an act of divine intervention. She has come up with well over a dozen reasons for her defeat -- every one but the real one, i.e. she is a loser -- not just a sore loser, but a total loser. She is incredibly incompetent, fundamentally dishonest, and criminally corrupt, and these are her good qualities. In addition, she is bereft of a trace of integrity or character, has absolutely...

The well-known Mormon Tabernacle Choir was renamed Friday to strip out the word Mormon in a move showing the faith’s new president is serious about ending shorthand names for the religion that have been used for generations by church members and previously promoted by the church. The gospel singing group will now be called the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said in a statement. It’s a nod to the home of the choir for the last 150 years, the Tabernacle, located on church grounds known as Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake...

This video is a year old, but someone just sent it to me. I think it's worth posting, and I hope the mods agree. The video shows - among other things - that not every high school student is a jerk. Some good news, for a change.

As the clock strikes three, the low notes of the organ rumble softly round the chapel. The last of the winter sunshine catches the greens, golds and deep reds of the stained glass windows, while the half-light of 1,000 candles illuminates the glorious fan-vaulted ceiling. The building is packed, as it is every Christmas Eve — and yet an expectant hush has descended. Only the microphones hanging low above the pews bear witness to the millions across the world who also listen and wait.

Pressure is mounting on the famed Mormon Tabernacle Choir to not perform at president-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony in January, but the choir is not backing down. In a Friday statement to The Daily Caller, the choir responded to an online petition that wants to the choir not to sing at Trump’s inauguration. The statement said while the group has received “mixed reactions,” it will still perform for the 58th Inauguration in Washington, D.C. just as it has done in the past.
