When last we heard from Fairfax County, parents were trying to get the school board to prohibit books with pornographic sexual descriptions (a criminal act in Virginia). Now, parents have something new to worry about: On May 25, the school board plans to approve a set of rules that will make it a Level 4 offense—right up there with assault, battery, and arson—for children in grades K-12 who “malicious[ly] misgender” or commit an “outing related to gender identification.” SNIP I recommend an article at The Federalist for its rundown of the gender madness that has infected Fairfax County schools going...

Sundance is raising the alarm that John Durham is not going to prosecute FBI and DOJ officials for their role in perpetrating the Russia Hoax. Opening arguments were presented Tueaday in the trial of Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman for lying to then-FBI general counsel James Baker, claiming that he wasn’t working for the campaign when he brought charges of ties between Donald Trump and Russia to the FBI. Sundance writes: As noted by Charlie Savage, prosecutor Deborah Shaw, a member of the Durham team, delivered the opening remarks to frame the government position in the case. The telling remarks...

The data is clear: Residents of Democrat-run states are fleeing at alarming rates. Many are choosing Republican-run states as their destinations of choice. And while it’s not clear yet what this mass migration of “leftugees” means for the power of blue and red states, one thing is clear: Liberal policies are failing in real-time on a spectacular scale that this country has never before seen. Studies Show Blue States Are Hemorrhaging ResidentsAccording to a new survey that studies the migration patterns of Americans within the United States, liberal-run New Jersey led the nation with 70 percent of all people involved...

The proposed amendments by the U.S. to the International Health Regulations do not degrade the sovereignty of the United States. The proposed amendments will reduce the power of a country to prevent the World Health Organization from declaring that a public health emergency exists in this country. There is nothing in the proposed amendments that obligates the U.S. to accept any such declaration by the WHO. I cannot find anything in any American law or treaty to which the United States is a signatory that obligates any part of the federal government or any state government to agree with any...

The study, released earlier in May, also noted an uptick in air pollution elsewhere in the world was producing a decline in the number of tropical cyclones over the past 40 years. Researchers examined how particulate air pollution, or aerosols, and climate change have affected tropical cyclones across the planet over the past 40 years in a new study from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that was recently published in the journal Science Advances, and the results are surprising. “Air pollution is a big environmental risk to human health, and we have made great strides in reducing health...

A judge has dismissed conservative cable news channel One America News Network from a defamation lawsuit filed by two Georgia election workers after the two sides reached a settlement. Fulton County election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss in December sued OAN, its owners and its chief White House correspondent over debunked claims that the mother-and-daughter pair introduced suitcases of illegal ballots while working as ballot counters at State Farm Arena in Atlanta in November 2020 and committed other acts of fraud to try to alter the outcome of the presidential election in Georgia. The terms of the settlement...

A pilot human clinical trial conducted by researchers at Baylor College of Medicine reveals that supplementation with GlyNAC—a combination of glycine and N-acetylcysteine as precursors of the natural antioxidant glutathione—could improve many age-associated defects in older humans. The results of this study show that older humans taking GlyNAC for 24 weeks saw improvements in many characteristic defects of aging, including glutathione deficiency, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation, insulin resistance, endothelial dysfunction, body fat, genomic toxicity, muscle strength, gait speed, exercise capacity and cognitive function. The benefits declined after stopping supplementation for 12 weeks. GlyNAC supplementation was well tolerated during the...

Philadelphia's School District encouraged its staff to attend the largest free transgender wellness conference in the world, where extremely explicit content was shared in the name of breaking down barriers. The annual event was held online, organized by the Mazzoni Center, which under the leadership of Sultan Shakir works to improve health and wellbeing among the LGBTQ community in Philadelphia. The School District, led by Superintendent William Hite, emailed teachers and school staff on their mailing list in July 2021 to invite them to attend, describing it as an opportunity to 'learn more about the issues facing the trans community.'...

A former Black Panther and Black Liberation Army member, who shot and killed a New Jersey state trooper, has been ordered free by the state’s highest court. Forty-nine years later, a recent decision will now afford him an opportunity to spend the last years of his life with his family. On Tuesday, May 10, the New Jersey Supreme Court overturned a parole board ruling and granted parole to Sundiata Acoli in the shooting death of a trooper, Werner Foerster, on May 2, 1973. The ruling obtained by Atlanta Black Star showed despite the win, it was not a clear decision....

I was outside the shop changing the deck belt on the lawnmower this morning, and I could hear it coming. It's not unusual to have propeller-driven air traffic here in this rural area, mostly crop dusters though, and few private aircraft. But this was a different sound...more than one or two engines, a loud, deep, steady drone sound....unusual. I stopped what I was doing and stepped out from under the awning, looking up. It was a partly cloudy, but sunny day, and then I saw her. She was up maybe 5000' heading due east. There was no mistaken her for...

It was a conservative writer who coined the phrase “ideas have consequences.” The mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket on Saturday, which left 10 people dead, shows the consequences of two of the horrific ideas that have taken root on the American right: support for the “great replacement” theory and opposition to gun control. The 18-year-old arrested for the mass shooting posted a lengthy manifesto explaining his reasons for wanting to murder African Americans. (I will not use his name or link to his twisted explanation.) Like many on the right, he is enraged by what he imagines to be...

A new study finds several biochemical pathways, including one that produces a precursor to cholesterol, may be key to this behaviorAfter a female octopus lays a clutch of eggs, she does what any new parent would: carefully watch over her progeny. She stays with them in her den, protects them from predators and blows water over them to keep them oxygenated, writes Nicholas Bakalar for the New York Times. But then her behavior turns bizarre; she stops eating and begins to self-mutilate, tearing off her skin or even eating her own arms. She’s dead before the eggs can hatch. Scientists...

SNIP They asked the NFL to accommodate this request. The NFL did not. And so, as a result, the Giants play their only “Monday Night Football” game of the 2022 season on Sept. 26 at MetLife Stadium and any Jewish fans wishing to observe the High Holiday of Rosh Hashanah will not be able to attend that heated NFC East rivalry matchup. “I am well aware of that and not happy about it,” John Mara, the Giants co-owner, told The Post on Tuesday. “I made my feelings known to the league as soon as I saw the schedule. We have...
