NATO allies brace for possible Trump 2024 victory

With six months to go until the presidential election, America's NATO allies are planning to boost their defense spending ahead of the potential disruption of a second Donald Trump presidency.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is preparing a funding plan to try to insulate the 75-year-old military partnership from any changing political realities that might affect the alliance, according to Oana Lungescu, who until last year was the longtime lead NATO spokesperson for Stoltenberg.

"It is important to have predictability both for allies and for Ukraine," Lungescu told CBS News. "This [plan] relieves the U.S. of some of its organizational burden while still maintaining full oversight," she said.

Stoltenberg has proposed a $107 billion, five-year package of military aid for Ukraine that would give the broader alliance a more direct role in funding, Reuters reported last month.

Trump's first term as president demonstrated that the 2024 presumptive Republican nominee is unafraid to upend the NATO alliance.

The sissy leaders all said “We’ve got America back again” when Biden was declared the winner of the stolen election.

The earlier guy, the one with the orange hair, did everything benefiting America first. Very unfair to the Europeans. Made some of them cry.

Trump made them pay their fair share. Biden acted like Daddy War bucks. They aren’t trying to ‘help’ the US, they are making drastic moves to save themselves from extinction.

I think serious NATO leaders will breathe a sigh of relief if Trump wins. They will get more defense spending, and still be less likely to be pulled into a costly and stupid land war with Russia.

The NATO dinosaur is headed for Jurassic Park. The Cold War is over. If the Chinks or the Russkis get froggy, we just send Zelenskyyyyy a pallet of Benjamins to take care of the bad guys. I don’t think our military is going to be up to it. Most of our military now is made up of cowardly runners working down the orange barrel expressway to “a better life” paid for by whitey.

The dirty secret? NATO really faces no threat except one. Mass immigration from Africa and the Middle East. And THOSE were caused by NATO and EU adventures.
Russia was making huge efforts to be a friend since the USSR fell.

Europe has no serious military needs beyond coastal patrol and a constabulary force. Everything they face is a direct result of their cancerous spreading and their belief THEY should be involved in everything on the earth.

NATO is nothing but a jobs program for bureaucrats and a sales bazaar for the defense industry.

“...America’s NATO allies are planning to boost their defense spending ahead of the potential disruption of a second Donald Trump presidency.”

Just like Trump planned for them to do, and just like they agreed to do from the getgo but didn’t do.

They’ve been trolled into doing the right thing. How disruptive./s

It’s about time Europe learned to defend itself. Too many American have died fighting for them. They can buy all the American weapons they want to.

Besides Trump needs to bring our troops home to keep his campaign promise to deport all those millions of illegal aliens Biden let in.

To me it’s clear Trump is an outsider.

NATO is part of the same international cabal pushing open borders, trans, high taxes welfare state. The Dems and RINOs are right in with them.

Russia is not, nor is Trump. Which makes them both the deep state enemies but not for the same reasons.

I just can’t get over the “coincidence” Biden’s crackhead, perverted son got about a million dollar a year job in Ukraine for basically sharpening pencils and now we are paying them back in 10s of BILLIONS of dollars.

It’s the main reason why I didn’t jump on the Ukrainian train when the war started. Too much coincidence.
