In 2008, at around 6:45 AM, in my local polling place in Fairfield, CT, there was a line that went 100 feet down the length of a school hallway and it took about 1/2 hour to get my ballot. Never saw it that crowded. This was the Obama tidal wave. In 2012, at around 6:45 AM at the same polling place, there were 5 people ahead of me in line. Oh wait, it gets better. Since there are still power outages, this polling place is serving 2 other local districts as well. So, it's 3 polling places in one. Yet,...

Libs are making a big deal that Romney lost the small locale 23-9. But on a closer look we also see the Republican Governor candidate lost 22-9, and Guinta, Republican for House lost 23-9, same as Romney. The most recent polls have the Governors race virtually tied and has Guinta UP by 7 state wide. So it looks like we're dealing with a tiny little liberal town. This at least will help me sleep better! It'd be great if Guinta and Romney were both up 7 in NH! I know Bush won this area before, but in such a small...

BARACK and MICHELLE OBAMA’s 20-year marriage is a loveless sham – a secret they’re keeping from the American people, The ENQUIRER can reveal exclusively. The president’s marriage has been hanging by a thread since Michelle met with divorce lawyers not once but THREE times and even had them draw up legal papers to make the split official, say sources. “Barack and Michelle put on a good show when they’re out in public, but as soon as the cameras are off they are at each other’s throats,” revealed a Washington insider. “They make a lot of political capital about how close...

The world will have to cut the rate of carbon emissions by an unprecedented rate to 2050 to stop global temperatures from rising more than 2°C this century, a report released by PwC on Monday (5 November) showed. PwC’s annual Low Carbon Economy Index report examined the progress of developed and emerging economies towards reducing their carbon intensity, or their emissions per unit of gross domestic product. Global temperatures have already risen by about 0.8 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial times. Almost 200 nations agreed in 2010 at United Nations climate talks to limit the rise to below 2°C (3.6°F) to...

Dick Morris just said on FoxNews that Romney will win PA. A lot of people think he is nuts. A lot of people think PA will disappoint again. But, here are the reasons Romney will win PA. In the past week, Romney, the GOP and PACs have dumped more than $5 million into ads. Obama's coffers are empty. Recently the Obama campaign had to go to Bank of America for a loan. The Democrat response to the Republican spend in PA has been $650,000.The Democrats have been caught flat footed. They have not been expecting this end game. If we...

During Chick Fil A Day, while standing in line with my kids.....I started singing this song, and the rest of the people joined in. It was truly a blessed moment. I didn't record it, but wanted to share a GREAT rendition of it. I think tomorrow is going to be the same as that great turnout. I have great hope. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJNqep77vBw

I did the first one of these for this election cycle 459 days ago, although it only feels like six, maybe seven times that many. First up is the map Democrats tell you is far too conservative, since The Chosen Won will win so big and so early that the Rocky Mountain states like Montana will simply suspend their elections and succumb to the inevitable. Nevertheless, if Obama wins, this is probably about as good as it gets.

Have no fear FReepers, we will win Wisconsin and there are a lot good reasons why. 1. Wisconsin is ultimate purple state. In 2000 Gore won the state by less than 5,000 votes out of 2.7 million votes cast. Kerry won in 2004 by only 11,000 votes out of 2.9 million votes cast. 2008 was unusual because Obama won by 412,000 votes out of 2.9 million votes cast. 2. Fast forward to 2012, and the recall election on June 5th. Scott Walker was the devil incarnate to the public employee unions and the Democrats in this state. They went ALL...

I had a long and bad day at work today but my spirits have been lifed by O'Reilly as he just said it isn't his job to predict a winner of tomoorow's election but instead, to look out for you and I (us) and the country. Whew, "thank you Bill!"

Whether you’re a prepper or an outdoor enthusiast who likes to get away from the modern world for days at a time, you know that there are still a pesky few electronic devices that you would like to keep charged even when a power source is miles away. There are several options like solar panels and hand cranks for providing off-grid power; but often — for preppers and backpackers alike — space is a major concern when already packing a heft of gear. A new camp stove design by a company called BioLite, however, can help you keep your pack...

Seriously. FR is running too well. Any random thought that pops into your head really deserves its own thread. I'm sorry that I can only post one at a time, frankly. So have at it. What are you eating for dinner tomorrow? What channel will you watch? What if you see Chris Matthews pick his nose? That will be Breaking News, certainly.

Is there anyone on FR old enough who remembers George Romney's 1968 Presidental campaign? The only thing I remember my father saying about it was the famous comment about being brainwashed. My Father was a Goldwater supporter in 1964, but I don't remember who he supported in the primaries from a far since he was a conservative Democrat in NC in 1968. He voted for Nixon twice. My dad was a Reagan supporter in 1976. I think my father had a positive opinion of him until he made that comment. I was just wondering what people generally felt of his...
