L e t F r e e d o m S i n g Here are a few songs you might want to kick back and enjoy tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 6, 2012), as the election results decisively flow in and verify the Romney/Ryan victory, marking the end of America's recent long nightmare with B.O. and his anti-American team of nefarious, nattering nabobs of negatvism, and their co-conspirators, the other evil, diabolical dealers of the culture of death, as well as the dim-bulbed dingleberts and pernicious prevaricators who make up the sleazy, treasonous, so-called "mainstream-media" who always...

OK, it's Monday night around 5:30PM Central Time. I'm taking a brief break from a long weekend of campaigning. I'm going out for some additional lit dropping tonight. I just came back from a campaign rally in Burnsville, a second ring suburb of Minneapolis. RNC Chair Reince Priebus was there. So was Kerry Healey, Romney's Lt Governor as well as Cong John Kline, etc. The crowd was pumped up and making lots of calls - primarily into the 2nd CD. Is Minnesota in play? I'm not sure that it is. I could be wrong but Priebus being here may be...

I don't do VANITIES often at all, but it occurs to me that a reminder of an obvious thing you can do to help is to call, tweet, email, facebook or text anyone you know in a swing state who is thinking about/planning to vote for Romney but might let life get in the way. Implore on them it is important they go and ACTUALLY do it. Also you can ask them to call others they may know. It is so easy to fall into the "one vote won't matter" trap. But reminding a couple of people, who will vote...

Remains Of World War II Military Pigeon Ignites Code Mystery Back in 1982, David Martin discovered the remains of a pigeon while renovating his chimney. Upon closer inspection he noticed that the dead bird had a red capsule attached to its leg, what has now been confirmed as a top secret message that was en route to an unknown location in Britain during World War II. Ignored for three decades, code experts are now trying to decrypt the secret message. Though rarely discussed, pigeons were widely used during the war as an old-school way to transmit messages. Among the benefits,...

A group of Republican senators said Monday that thousands of voter ballots are unlikely to reach military service members until after Nov. 6. One day ahead of the election, Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas), Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), John McCain (R-Ariz.), Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) sent a letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to express their concern over delays in ballots reaching military voters overseas. We write to express concerns over another serious failure by the Department of Defense (DoD) to safeguard the voting rights of our overseas military service members, which we believe could result in the imminent...

I'll be voting early again this year - at 7:00 am on Election Day. Don't trust the "early" voting process because it makes voting often more of a possibility. And IMO ballots are very perishable, the closer you vote to the counting, the fresher and more effective they'll be. How about any of you?

Most geeks will know William Shatner as the original Captain Kirk from Star Trek. Shatner has also acted in other memorable roles including lawyer Denny Crane and Frank O’Hara on Psych. Shatner has launched a new application called Shatoetry that plays on Shatner’s known body of spoken word works. The app is available for the iPhone and comes with a library of pre-recorded words allowing users to create unique “Shatisms” that play using Shatner’s voice. Shatner says that his life is unlike any other celebrity allowing users to make him say whatever they want him to say. The app supports...

When hurricane warnings begin on the news, being prepared comes with a bit of uncertainty. Most people wonder if a storm really is as bad as the weather forecaster’s hairdo, but everyone should always have a plan for the worst case scenario. Hurricanes are often unpredictable, but as devastation unfolds from Sandy and the memory of Katrina shows, the lack of hurricane preparedness can be fatal. So if you have never sat down and created a hurricane preparedness kit, all of the information to get started is right here. 1 Safe and Secure Home-Proofing Your Historic Home Historic homes tend...

I swore off television several years ago, but have the occasional desire to watch important events unfold in real time - such as major elections. Anyone have a recommendation on where I can watch results come in on the web? I'd enjoy a couple of Leftist (MSM) sites as well so I can see heads exploding. Does FOX News offer a live thread online?

Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago is the question that has come up the most and I personally can say YES, I am, and here is why" How about you? The day after Obama was elected I went and purchased my first pistol and enrolled in a class to get my conceal carry. I bought myself a little compressor and taught myself how to blow out my sprinklers and fired the company I had been using for 9 years because of their Obama stickers on their vehicles. I charged 5 of my neighbors $15 each...

Okay... election day is tomorrow, and it's time for all us to make final predictions on the record... you know, for bragging rights. This is specifically for the Presidential race, but if you want to lock in overall and/or specific Senate and House races for "bonus points", by all means go ahead!

Reading threads in democraticunderground.com and I feel sick to my stomach after seeing such a huge number of anti American misguided morons. Sorry just needed to vent. I'm going to take a shower now.

This is happening right now at Mitt Romney’s rally in Pennsylvania. Apparently it’s freezing, and Romney’s staff is refusing to let rally-goers leave. People are begging reporters for help. Absolutely incredible. From the NYT’s Michael Barbaro: "We've got to get out! My daughter is frostbitten," begs mom, asking to leave Romney rally. Staffer replies, "It's not cold enuf for that." "There are several people here at PA rally who want to leave and aren't being let out." "Man just pulled me aside and said his son is near hypothermia."

The Dreamliner, with passengers, has finally landed. United Airlines landed its inaugural domestic flight of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft Sunday morning at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, becoming the first U.S. carrier to fly the composite-plastic-fuselage aircraft. The twin-aisle plane, delayed more than three years by production problems at Boeing Co., was designed to be about 20% more fuel efficient and less costly to maintain than similar-size planes. Half the plane is made of strong and light composite materials, including the fuselage and wings, instead of metal. …
