Michigan State Police report at least two individuals were shot and killed Friday morning at Central Michigan University. The city of Mt. Pleasant has locked down all city buildings. The suspect is James Eric Davis, Jr. a 19-year-old armed, black male wearing a blue hoodie and mustard-yellow jeans, reported WILX 10, Fox News, and USA Today. CNN) -- Students at Radford University in Virginia locked their doors and were being warned to stay inside Thursday after a man was shot and killed near campus. A man was shot in the chest and killed in a residential area a couple of blocks from the school's Radford, Virginia, campus at about 9:10 p.m., according to university spokesman Michael Hemphill. He said authorities believe the shooter then fled onto campus. In a series of phone calls, e-mails and text messages, students were being warned that the university was on lockdown.

UCA Police says the shooting happened around 9:50 p.m. near the Snow Fine Arts Center. One person died on the scene and the second died at Conway Regional Medical Center according to a hospital spokesperson. The third person injured in the shooting has been treated and released from the hospital. Warwick Sabin, UCA vice president of communications, says police are looking for four suspects in the case, one of which has been apprehended. Classes are cancelled for Monday and all housing facilities are restricted to residents only.

Police and fire officials were on the campus of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb Thursday afternoon after a report of a shooting near a dormitory. "There has been a report of a possible gunman on campus," an alert on the university's Web site said. "Get to a safe area and take precautions until given the all clear. Avoid the King Commons and all buildings in that vicinity." The possible shooting took place near Cole Hall, a DeKalb police officer said. There were reports of at least one injury.
