  • North Carolina transgender bathroom law faces federal court test

In my home state, Washington (which should be renamed Confusion as long as the libtards are in control) it is against the law for businesses and government facilities to deny men from entering women’s restrooms and changing rooms, and vice versa. Maybe a woman should go with a man she knows both with cellphones and she enters the Ladies room while the man stays outside. If, she sees an obvious male in there leering at women and little girls she should call her male friend or husband outside, and when the perp leaves the restroom her male companion could beat up the perp. There’s a risk he could go to jail for assault, but if he does he would be a self sacrificing hero and would discourage the perp from doing it again. It would be worth it to go to jail to punish a perp leering at undressing women and girls.

I’m glad I switched to the Ubuntu based JULinux. It is a reSpin of the Xubuntu desktop, whose project leader is a born again Christian and resides in Pomeroy, Washington. I have also used Slackware Linux, that is more complicated to install and configure, but I definitely prefer Slackware over Windows.

  • Former Rainier school employee (Police Officer) charged with 40 counts of sexual abuse

I live in nearby Cowlitz County, Washington. Rainier has had its police chief, Ralph Painter. murdered in January. A young man named Daniel Armaugh Butts has been indicted for the crime and is in jail awaiting a hearing in July for fitness to stand trial. If found guilty, he should get the death penalty.

As for the sex abuse charges against John Lawrence Hinkle, he should be in prison for a long time, maybe the rest of his life if found guilty. The scumbag who did these crimes (assuming the sexual abuse was actually done) doesn’t deserve freedom again.

Columbia County, Oregon is likely to have two emotional criminal trials this year that will get plenty of coverage on Portland TV stations.

It will be interesting to see how many Dem Representatives refuse to vote for Pelosi in the formal Speaker vote in January. Now, that the Dems lost control of the House maybe their leadership won’t punish Dems in competitive districts who vote for a Rat other than Pelosi as Speaker.

I voted for Herrera in the primary because she is the conservative that I felt would have the best chance of winning in November. It turns out we were right. An independent group has been running TV commercials criticizing Denny Heck and connecting him with Pelosi. It would be nice having Herrera as our Representative and casting a vote for a Republican (likely John Boehner) for Speaker. But, I need to make sure that my church friends vote.

If, I were Lebron I would have stayed in Cleveland. He shouldn’
t have given up on Cleveland because he couldn’t get a ring there in 7 years. I’m not a Cleveland fan, I live about 50 miles from Portland, but I am glad the Trailblazers didn’t pursue him. I can understand how betrayed the Cleveland fans feel. I hope that Lebron doesn’t get a ring and I would boo Lebron if I got to see Miami play the Blazers at the Rose Garden next season.

I don’t believe the voters in her leftist district will vote her out, but there’s a good chance that enough Rats will get the “Order of the Boot” that the GOP will take control of the House in the next Congress. The remaining Dems will be so upset that they will make Pelosi a backbencher. Then upset with the loss of her power she would probably resign her seat.

The big surprise today, was East Carolina beating Tulsa in the Conference USA title game. I thought Tulsa would win. But, Patrick Pinkney was able to lead the ECU Pirates to victory even though he was only 10 though 24 passing for 122 yards. Turnovers and the running of ECU’s Norman Whitley hurt the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. The CUSA title game was the closest conference title game in 2008 so far. ECU is headed to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis against an SEC team (maybe Kentucky), and Tulsa will play Ball State in the GMAC Bowl in Mobile.

At least this spared us negotiations of a Boise St. - Ball St. matchup. Ball St. might be headed for the GMAC Bowl against East Carolina, Buffalo is headed for the Motor City Bowl against a team to be determined. Boise St. can choose between the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise against ACC Team #8 or the Poinsettia Bowl against 11th ranked Texas Christian. The P Bowl option would be a better matchup for Boise St.

The stimulus package would lead to more inflation which is in effect taking funds away from people who have large savings accounts. It would stimulate the economy in the short term, but would not work well in the long term.

I live in Washington state close to the Oregon border with several relatives living in Oregon. I see many ads for both Smith and Merkley on Portland TV. If, I lived in Oregon, I would probably vote for Brownlow to send a message to the state GOP that if your Senate nominee goes too far to the left, he is gonna lose.

Guiterrez reffered to people that want to not reward illegal aliens as “right wing” extremists, when in fact they are the majority of Americans. I don’t like the extremist tag, except for those who do violence for their cause. It shows how much the Rat libs are out of touch.

I read in President Ford’s autobiography “A Time to Heal” that Ford seriously considered Armstrong as a possible running mate in 1976 (after VP Nelson Rockefeller withdrew from consideration). If Ford would have picked Armstrong she would have been the first woman on a major party Presidential ticket. However at the time Ford thought that Bob Dole was better at drawing conservative voters to the ticket, so Bob Dole was selected. But I agree she was a fine woman and a fine ambassador.

I sometimes favor amending the eighth amendment to allow more cruel punishment to those convicted of deliberate murder. I would be more inclined to favor the death penalty for rape if this was the message.

You rape a child, you get the needle.

You kill a child, you get bitten to death by a large wild animal.

It was just the case where the Supremes did not find enough conclusive evidence to overturn a citizen’s initiative. It is like the instant replay in football, in which a call on the field is only overturned if there is conclusive evidence. If only the Supremes would follow that philosophy in other cases.

Nothing to do with having voted for Ron Paul, if McCain did get a chronic illness, would like to see him get better after the convention. Normally, do not wish ill on someone simply because I disagree on political issues. If, Paul or Keyes isn’t considered electable, Fred Thompson would have been a decent compromise nominee.

If McCain is the nom. and he is significantly behind Obama in Wash. St. or national race isn’t close, then I am likely to fill the oval for the Constitution Party ticket, even though they do not have a decent chance. Wash. tends to go more heavily Dem than USA as a whole.
