Nothing to do with having voted for Ron Paul, if McCain did get a chronic illness, would like to see him get better after the convention. Normally, do not wish ill on someone simply because I disagree on political issues. If, Paul or Keyes isn’t considered electable, Fred Thompson would have been a decent compromise nominee.
If McCain is the nom. and he is significantly behind Obama in Wash. St. or national race isn’t close, then I am likely to fill the oval for the Constitution Party ticket, even though they do not have a decent chance. Wash. tends to go more heavily Dem than USA as a whole.

I am not fan of McCain either but will vote for him over Obama or Hillary. Advocating or wishing in a public forum here on FR for the world to see, the illness, injury, etc. of a candidate to fit your political needs reflects poorly on you.
