What do Mitt Romney and Mitch Daniels have in common? Both are Republican governors who have presidential aspirations, and they are making the rounds on political talk shows to keep a high profile. Both men also face a common roadblock: Both have to explain how they can oppose ObamaCare while implementing programs in their state that are awfully close to the rules of Obama’s programs.

According to a poll released by Kaiser, 59% of seniors have an unfavorable view of ObamaCare. This is about on par with Rasmussen’s numbers, and considering the conservative nature of the demographic, this is not especially surprising. The catch? The HHS has been spending millions on television ads to promote the health care law to seniors. Poll results like these show that the ad campaign has failed, and seniors are not budging on their discontent with the law.

The split opinion of judges all over the country continue. D.C. Federal District Judge Gladys Kessler has ruled the health care law to be constitutional. In her ruling, Kessler says: First, this Court agrees with the two other district courts which have ruled that the individuals subject to § 1501’s mandate provision are either present or future participants in the national health care market. So on top of the news that the IRS is seeking to hire 16,500 new employees to enforce the new rules of the health care law, the agency has now announced that they are seeking $119 million to finance not only this hiring, but the enforcement of the new rules. Included in this request is the funding to enforce the 1099 rule, which may be obsolete once Congress gets through with it. However, there are many other charges, such as $23 million to help taxpayers understand the new law, and $11.5 million to implement the tanning tax, for government officials...

While it is common knowledge that the health care industry is not happy with the rules and regulations of the health care law, the National Review brings up this question: Will the implementation of ObamaCare stifle the creation of new drugs and treatments? To answer this question, the National Review observes that Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) made a deal with the Obama Administration that they would be able to market their drugs without generic competition for 12 years. President Obama has called for a serious and reasoned debate about his plans to overhaul the health-care system.
