My Uncle Steve who was a Ranger in Viet Nam and did two tours had a severe heart attack this past Sunday. At this time, the Doctors say he wouldn't live through open heart surgery, even though he needs it. They are trying to stabilize him, but it is not looking good. He won the Silver Star in Nam when he carried his wounded buddy over his shoulder through a minefield while under fire to the chopper. He is a great man, a hero to me, and a conservative as well. I sincerely hope and wish this Christmas and New Year find all of you Freepers well and blessed. I am deeply saddened to let you know that we have just lost another WW2 vet, and a hero in my eyes. Fellow Freeper, Dominnae's Father, Robert passed away from lung cancer in the early evening on New Year's Eve.
