Just saw a reference to a Never-Trumper (who happens to be a Republican), and I really and truly want to ask a simple question of any and all of you who place yourself in that category... (BTW, I haven't seen you much lately, or any references to you folks. Did you finally join the bandwagon? It's kind of why I'm writing this.) I use RCP as my polling resource. It's a bit left-leaning, but it tends to have more polls that most other sites, and makes trends a bit easier to see. Anyway, last week, they had the House as 205-198 with 32 "tossups". As of today, it is 203-198, with 34 tossups. It is clear that we are almost evenly divided between Trump and Cruz (tip of the hat to DoughtyOne for the Caucus threads). It is also clear that in about 1-3 months, one will almost surely be the chosen candidate, and one will not. It is also clear that Freerepublic will still be here with both factions still being active (and hopefully not just for the "I told you so" moment that may come). RealClearPolitics I just posted on an Obama-losing-VA thread that I hadn't seen much on the Senate races. With Obama starting to cede more states, and increasing spending in places like CA and NYC, it's clear that the Dems are in real trouble. Looking at the Senate, the link shows an excellent breakdown of the expected Senate composition, and the toss-up seats.

For those who had heard and were worried, I'm surprisingly okay. The Ford F-150 is a remarkable machine. 130-mph head-on speed (NASCAR crashes are sometimes slower than that), and the seatlbelt caused most of my injuries (which is FAR better than any other alternative!!!). Happened 14 hrs ago, and I'm mostly just sore and bewildered. Sadly, the other driver did not survive. I actually didn't see much of her until she was trying to get in the front seat of my truck... while still in her Saturn. The female minivan in front of me said she (the Saturn driver) swerved...

JOHANNESBURG – Two Dutch women were released on bail Wednesday after facing charges they took part in an ambush marketing campaign at a World Cup match. The women were among a group of more than 30 Dutch women who attended Monday's Netherlands-Denmark game at Soccer City wearing orange minidresses paid for by brewing company Bavaria. They said they were ordered from the stadium by FIFA officials. The women are being prosecuted under the Contravention of Merchandise Marks Act which covers ambush marketing, when a company benefits from an event without paying for advertising.
