After a budget proposal by house Republicans today, President Barack Hussein Obama made a statement that the budget represented, "a faction on the far right" adding that they are ""trying to mess with me." Many critics have noted President Obama's unwillingness to work with Congress, and create compromises supported by the public. In statements today, he attacked the budget proposal from the House of Representatives, and stated that there should be, ""no obstruction, no games, no holding the economy hostage if you don't get 100 percent of what you want."

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved a measure which would create a definition of "covered journalists," as a special class of citizens protected from having to reveal their sources. Critics argue that by creating this definition, Congress would legally limit the individuals covered as "press" under the 1st Amendment. Presumably, the law would effectively negate protection provided by the 1st Amendment for Americans not defined as "journalists" by Congress. Since the founding of the Republic, Americans have been granted protection of freedom of speech under the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution, which explicitly prohibits Congress from making...

On Tuesday, everyday American citizens recalled two Democrat State Senators, over their extreme gun control views. The two senators, Senate President John Morse, and Senator Angela Giron, had pushed through highly controversial gun control measures against the will of the citizens they represented, including intensified background checks on private sales, banning magazines larger than 15 rounds...

According to United States Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), “intends to spend $8.7 million of taxpayer funds to promote ObamaCare through advertising across the country in coming months.” It is unclear why the administration would need to advertise at all for the regulatory overhaul it pushed through congress over the objections of many. Rubio added that the pending marketing campaign would be, “misappropriating public funds in an effort to sell bad ideas to good people.”

North Carolina’s legislature, led by Consaervatives, is hoping it will be able to pass legislation shoring up legislation defending voter integrity. Among the proposals, are disallowing casting votes in incorrect districts, elimination of partisan “straight party” voting to encourage further participation in the nation’s democracy, as well as providing additional funding to support the facilitation and administration of elections. Additionally, the bill strengthens ID requirements, similar to those required by citizens to purchase tobacco, or make a purchase with a credit card.

Abuse of law enforcement officers and even officers not intended forlaw enforcement by the current administration is reachingunprecedented levels. Despite campaign promises of greatertransparency, clear violations of accepted practices and even lawbreaking are stonewalled or spun away by the current Democratic administration. Riding on the curtails of news that Amazon would be hiring 7,000 more workers despite a slow economy, Obama again criticized Republicans for opposing plans to increase government spending, even as a budget crisis looms. Currently, the Treasury department is using emergency measures to avoid going over the $16,699,396,000,000 debt limit approved by congress. The situation is so desperate, that the debt level has been sitting $25 million below that level for a full 70 days.
