North Carolina’s legislature, led by Consaervatives, is hoping it will be able to pass legislation shoring up legislation defending voter integrity.

Among the proposals, are disallowing casting votes in incorrect districts, elimination of partisan “straight party” voting to encourage further participation in the nation’s democracy, as well as providing additional funding to support the facilitation and administration of elections.

Additionally, the bill strengthens ID requirements, similar to those required by citizens to purchase tobacco, or make a purchase with a credit card.

So basically, the liberals are saying that it's perfectly fine to require ID to buy alcohol, but to vote to influence the future of the country... naaah. What? Bizarro world.

I'm generally in favor of the Voter ID bill,it's a good thing in the long term. Predictably, Dems are against it, so that makes me generally in favor of it.

However, NC has pretty much been a dead heat in the past two presidential elections. I see the following happening in 2016 if Voter ID is enacted:

1) NC stays a dead heat. I see this as a bad thing because it means that Dems have made serious inroads here.

2) NC goes back to being about 55-45. I also see this as a bad thing, because it means that my vote for at least the past couple of elections has been completely meaningless and nullified by fraud.

/end rant

Since democracy was and is Mob Rule by mobsters.... WHY NOT?..
The words democracy and democratic are found NOWHERE in the american constitution..

Every givernment known in history is ruled by an elite..
Democracy was and is a scam... or even a political disease..
A disease that results in Socialism ultimately communism.. which “IS” socialism..
The Nazi’s and Fascists are and were socialists..

Democracy is the road to socialism. -Karl Marx

Democracy is indispensable to socialism.
The goal of socialism is communism. -V.I. Lenin

The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism .-Karl Marx

None of this makes any difference so long as electronic voting machines are still used. The personnel required to fix an election is a far smaller group that the number of fixers required for the old fashioned lever pull mechanical machines.

Does requiring photo ID to buy a gun discriminate against minorities?
