I’m glad you brought up Drudge. He’s obviously a Romniac. I tell you what, last night was the press getting even with Newt. They straight-jacketed the audience and then just let Romney go on and on. I wonder how many minutes Romney had the microphone last night. One thing Newt did prove though last night ... he restrained himself, he disciplined himself (maybe too much) but the notion that he can’t hold his tongue is off the table in my view. There was one point when I thought, “Boy if that were me I’d just punch Romney right in his lying snoot!” And has anyone noticed that the story of Romney investing 1/2 million in Fannie has barely got a mention by any of the so-called “mainstream” Internet Sites! (Kinda creepy).

But remember, Perry can be much more influential out of the race than in the race. If he drops out he will be able to speak his mind without any regard to how the opposition paints him .... ungagged! Same is true for Palin. She is a kingmaker now. She is much more of a threat now than she was when she held public office.

I think Perry should get out of the race, throw his support to Newt, and then campaign alongside him. He’s gotten pretty good at debates and would be a big help to Newt, (especially with Palin). I do like Santorum too, I just don’t think he’s nasty enough to take on Obama. That’s why I like the Nasty Newt better than the Newtered Newt!

Let’s wait and see what happens in South Carolina before predicting Gingrich can’t beat Romney. Things change SO Fast! This Bain thing could really bring Romney down.

Yep, this is what Occupy has ALWAYS been about ... the presumed nomination of Mitt. Well, at least the cat is out of the bag BEFORE we vote. And if the “elites” in the GOP think that defending Mitt on this is gonna help Romney (or their cause) they are deceiving themselves. Mitt’s group made a bundle and left people without their retirement ... it’s sickening. Capitalism is the best economic system in the world but “unbridled” capitalism is greedy and immoral. The GOP is missing an opportunity to rail against crony capitalism thereby stealing Obama’s thunder this fall.

I’m so glad I ran across this thread. I thought I was gonna lose my ever-lovin’ mind. I actually started noticing this with Cain and I thought maybe I was imagining things but it is o-so-very-obvious with the Newtster! Thanks to all of you for helping me keep my sanity!

It’s not that they don’t trash Romney, they are not vetting him AT ALL! There are some doozy Romney stories out there but Fox isn’t covering them. Those doozies will come out if and when he gets the nomination and then it’s too late.
