Is it just me or is FOX News in the tank for Mitt Romney? I've noticed a "trend" with FOX News in the past two or three weeks and it's starting to disturb me. It seems they are in love with Mitt Romney.
Tonight, Bill O'Reilly had, on his program, Ann Coulter (once Conservative, now Moderate) as well as Sally Quinn of the Washington Post (liberal rag), to help him bash Newt Gingrich over Newt's comments from Thursday night's Debate, re: activist judges who try to legislate from the bench. And then, he had discussions of Michele Bachmann clips "letting Newt have it" (to quote Billy O'). The first 30 minutes of "The Factor" tonight was spent bashing Newt as "wreckless", and "bombastic", among other things. Then Greta does about a half-hour on Romney tonight. She has Romney on with Nikki Haley (Gov. of SC) singing Romney's praises. Yesterday, Sean Hannity had Romney on his Radio Program for about an hour. Also, yesterday, Glenn Beck (a fellow Mormon like Romney), called Newt Gingrich a Progressive (new term for Liberal). FOX News Sunday, with Chris Wallace will have Romney on as an "exclusive guest". Then, the next day, Bill O'Reilly is having Romney on Monday night. What the heck is going on here?
I would say 75% of Fox is in the tank for Mitt. There are some such as Hannity are probably not along with a few others.
No it is not you, they are.
Beck will endorse Romney.
I am sick of hearing about Romney and Paul.
Many people (even strong conservatives) are fully convinced that Romney is the only one who can beat Obama. In other words, they’ve thrown in the towel and admit a true conservative candidate will never win again.
Coulter should know better. O'Reilly's arrogant assertions reveal his shallow understanding of the founding principles, as well as his arrogance in revealing it to his audience.
Regarding Coulter's statements about Newt's "bombastic" style being a negative for a presidential candidate, does she forget that just a few months ago she was wildly wishing for Christie to run and praising his merits? Not exactly a shrinking violet there, and with far less substantial underpinnings in the Founders' ideas.
Now, one more thing, there's a bit more hypocrisy in Michelle Bachman's relentless attacks on the conservatism of Gingrich. Her debate attacks on Newt are in sharp contrast to her words of praise for him in this video, which includes her attributing the title of "architect" of the conservative movement and "renaissance man," among other high honors, to Gingrich. See: here. Newt should use this video clip in commercials, beginning tomorrow.
Coulter is a big disappointment. She could talk the talk as long as the choice was between some unnamed, unknown Republican and an openly Marxist Democrat. But as soon as she had to choose between GOP candidates, starting last election, she went for the most liberal. I’m beginning to think that Levin and Rush are the only two honest conservatives out there. (And we Freepers of course)
Just because Fox News doesn’t trash Romney 24/7 and do propoganda against him by running fake pictures of him doesn’t mean they are in the tank for him. But it does prove some people need to get some perspective. Anne Coulter is, and has always been a good woman. She continues to be a woman of integrity and a really good conservative too.

It’s not you...
this is part of an email I sent to Fox and Friends this morning, it was really out of control, the Newt bashing, and I finally had to turn it off...
To Fox and Friends:
I am an overeducated academic and a Conservative; despite the arrows of my liberal family and many liberal friends, I have always watched your morning show — mostly because I felt, because of your faith, I could count on you to be truthful, fair, and courageous. It was a breath of fresh air when you initially stayed so far above the fray with your election coverage, focusing on issues, without trying to batter republican candidates because of their religion, ideology, or position on the political spectrum. I had thought you were the place I could visit daily to get the latest on the happenings on the trail.
However, your continual attacks on Newt Gingrich these past few weeks have caused me to realize I couldn’t have been more wrong. You are simply following the lead of the corporate elitist media: highlighting Gingrich gaffes; showcasing attacks against him without airing his responses; featuring interviews with all the other candidates - most attacking him - but not the Speaker himself; featuring positive debate snips of the other candidates - and only the attacks on Newt; never delving into Romney’s vicious surrogate attack ads; Bachmans demonstrable inaccuracy bordering on dishonesty; Paul’s documented bigotry and anti-Semitism, and on and on and on.
I had thought - for some reason - you on Fox and Friends would somehow be different, because you were conservative, Christian, simply just the nice guys. But I understand now how wrong I was - and my fellow Conservatives as well agree with me. I am now seeking alternative news programming in the a.m. - for myself and other offices - that doesn’t include you or Fox - and urging my many conservative and republicans friends to do the same.
It now appears we were extraordinarily naive to think you were any different than all the other ethically-pliable media - and that the man who signs your paycheck controls what you say and do. I believe you once understood there was a greater accountability than whether or not you pleased your corporate headmasters, but no longer.
It has been nice knowing you,
No, It aint just you.FAUX is full on in the tank for rinos and has been for more than a few years.Look where they are located says all we need to know.
LMAO, wow thats funny right there.made my night.THX
How is Coulter a good conservative when she is in the tank for Romney who is not a conservative.
I think she fell on her head in the last years or so, she has changed.
Get over it. Romney has zero chance of winning the nomination.
I think Sean is still fair to Newt, BillO is not anymore. Also, the Money Guy is very pro-Newt so that seems fair too. There are some who just are undecided. At least we can say, Fox is not for Obama which obviously CNN and MNSBC are. Glenn Beck and Ann are simply looking at the race from two varied views and still come out opposites...but against Newt.Apparently Gallup is showing polling that says many 50+ in age are all for Newt. We shall see.
Rupert Murdoch was part of the big money group who wanted Chris Christie to run.
When Christie declined, he came out almost right away to endorse Romney.
Please connect the dots.
Correct. I think Sean Hannity much prefers Newt Gingrich over Romney.
Likely that Greta is in the same camp.
As far as FOX, they are center left to me and have been for some time.
I agree with you. I am paying attention to the pundants attacking Newt and supporting Romney and Ron Paul and I have determined they are not worthy of my trust or respect. Only Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh. Fox has jumped the shark.
Well done tbf. I couldn’t have said it better. Faux News, formerly of Fair & Balanced fame is, without any doubt, in the tank for Romney. They are dedicating huge chunks of their broadcasting time to their bash Newt campaign. My prediction: it will cost them customers, at least one.
I’ve had it with the New Faux News. Enough is enough. My recommendation to Freepers:
TURN THEM OFF. YOU HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO.
I’m gonna be kind here and say that they’re just plain mistaken and ignorant in thinking he’s smoother and sharper than he is and that just because he “looks the part”, he’s most electable. They’re woefully wrong (imo). Hannity is the exception - he seems more supportive of Newt than Mitt as the more electable one to defeat BHO. Coulter is being a dunce on this one.
I don’t think it’s sinister, just old-boy, stuck in a rut thinking.
