The Bureau of Land Management released yesterday a tw0-minute video that supposedly answers questions, including, “Should I apply to be a wildland firefighter with the BLM?” This is at best, misleading, since most if not all of their employees that do fight fire work under job titles of “Forestry Technician” or “Range Technician”. Besides the “Should I apply” question, the video addresses others, such as: “I don’t know, it seems kind of boring. And not fun at all. “What if I get dirty? “What would I do in my free time?”

Joe Biden paces as he dictates long portions of his speeches to aides, spinning out thoughts that quickly pile into six, seven or eight paragraphs of copy, only to later be scrapped. On the 2020 campaign trail, he’d keep groups of supporters waiting inside while he’d hole up in a black car with aides, refining lines of his prepared remarks. Revisions go up to crunch time; it isn’t uncommon for a staffer to be scurrying to the teleprompter with a flash drive just before an event is to begin. For higher-profile remarks, he’d obsessively rehearse portions until he committed them...

Why can a baker be forced to make a cake for something he disagrees with but a social media platform may pick and choose? Is it possible to sue some of these providers under the same laws that bakers are forced to serve those they disagree with. Make no mistake, the bakery cases are not merely about baking a cake. The reports never tell us what the customer wanted on those cakes or what shape they may have been to cause the objection but you may be certain it wasn't a simple, plain cake. IF a baker may be forced...

Here is some interesting propaganda from the UN. I read it as the real reason behind the worldwide pandemic scare and where this is really taking us. The gist is, we have shown our willingness and capacity to change to fight the greatest problem ever to hit humanity and we need to continue down this path to solve all our woes (Climate change, poverty, injustice, and inequality) and how the worst thing we can possibly do is to return to normal.

(Read the whole thing. Very un PC and accurate) Sometimes you chase the story, and sometimes the story chases you. Two weeks ago I’m walkin’ through Century City, the business, residential, and dining district adjoining Beverly Hills. This is familiar territory to me; it’s home. So I know when something’s not right. Like the bus full of black folks that came barreling past me down Avenue of the Stars. And not just any bus; one of those supersize air-conditioned bathroom-in-the-back buses. I’m not a man who speaks in absolutes, but here’s one I’ll stand by: If a bus full of...

The World Economic Forum (WEF) was founded fifty years ago. It has gained more and more prominence over the decades and has become one of the leading platforms of futuristic thinking and planning. As a meeting place of the global elite, the WEF brings together the leaders in business and politics along with a few selected intellectuals. The main thrust of the forum is global control. Free markets and individual choice do not stand as the top values, but state interventionism and collectivism. Individual liberty and private property are to disappear from this planet until 2030 according to the projections...

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A state appeals court ordered San Quentin State Prison on Tuesday to immediately cut its inmate population by half, which would require transferring or releasing about 1,700 inmates, citing the state’s inability to manage a deadly COVID-19 outbreak at the prison. The First District Court of Appeal in San Francisco ruled that the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and San Quentin Prison Acting Warden Ron Broomfield “have acted with deliberate indifference and relief is warranted,” the court opinion stated. The ruling stemmed from a case involving 64-year-old Ivan Von Staich, who along with...

If the senate does not seat another justice on the supreme court and there is another contested election and the court splits evenly on who should be president, does the speaker of the house take over?

An interesting video of ANTIFA demonstrating at the Sturgis Bike Rally. Everyone respected the police, and the defund police group, ANTIFA, was likely saved by the police. It is interesting to contemplate a similar event, say a small group of the people at the rally demonstrating in Portland or Berkley.

I may homeschool a vision impaired child in Northern California. I have homeschooled children before and was homeschooled myself. When I was homeschooled certain public school classes and services were available to homeschoolers, like driver's ed and trying out for an athletic team. I know the rules are not uniform and that teams sports are outside the services available to homeschoolers in California now. My question is, will the special services she now gets in public school still be available to her? She does have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and I believe she will still be available for that...

What will the elimination of qualified immunity do to first responders? If officers are liable for all they do, I think there will be an exodus from the field. I understand that will prevent officers from acquiring private insurance. Other professions that have qualified immunity are judges and prosecutors, paramedics and other fire services. How will it affect them? As a Cal Fire vendor, we are protected under the Cal Fire umbrella for damaged caused. If we are liable for all damage, we may be inclined to pass on rendering aid. Realize, people sue because we bulldoze landscaping and gates....

When Biden met with the father of a SEAL killed in Benghazi he acted inappropriately and spoke inappropriately. From US News: "His face was pointed towards me but he would not look me in the eye," Woods says of meeting Obama. "I could tell he was not sorry. He had no remorse." "An hour later, he came over and approached me," Woods told Beck. "And in an extremely loud and boisterous voice, [he asked,] 'Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?'" I'm willing to bet he does something really stupid and everyone defends him.

Juan Mendoza-Meza, 30 years old, Santa Rosa, was arrested yesterday for assault with a deadly weapon and felony animal cruelty. On June 1, at about 9:00 am, deputies were dispatched to Las Lomas Road near Central Avenue in Boyes Hot Springs for a vehicle versus pedestrian investigation. During the investigation, deputies learned that a man was walking his dog, a terrier mix, when he saw a white Maserati driving towards him at a high rate of speed. As the Maserati past him, the man yelled at the driver to slow down. The car came to a complete stop. The driver,...

Dear XXXX, We live in an unjust world. And too many of us have been lulled into complacency by the illusion of progress toward a more just society. The events of the last few weeks and months have shown that the black community and, by extension, all communities of color continue to face obstacles steeped in centuries of racism and violence--- obstacles that threaten their physical safety, mental health, and capacity to live freely. For those of us in the water polo community, recent events should further strengthen our dedication to diversity and inclusion. The pandemic provides time for reflection....

Has anyone heard or does anyone have any idea what may happen if you are not compliant with a tracer? I know when dealing with regulatory bodies, they try to claim our basic rights do not apply, but inalienable means they should always apply. I would imagine the type of information a tracer would be seeking would be quite invasive. It seems they are not only interested in whom you may have had contact but with anyone you may potentially have contact. Also, if the tracer contacts someone who has been exposed, are they not in fact a contact at...

In a shocking essay for Harvard Magazine, a professor of law and director of Harvard Law School’s child advocacy legal clinic, claims homeschooling is a threat to children’s rights, a method of promoting white supremacy, and a drain on democratic society — and even goes so far as to suggest a national “presumptive ban” on the practice. Harvard is playing host to a “homeschooling summit,” slated to take place (at least digitally) June 18-19, according to the Daily Caller News Foundation. But Harvard’s concern isn’t so much whether homeschooling is a viable, cost-effective, and comfortable method of education for many...

At the presser today, Dr Birx spoke of national testing saying they could eventually test a million a month. Wouldn't it take 27 1/4 years to test the US population of 327 million at the rate of a million a month? Why didn't a single reporter ask, "Isn't that 27 years?" Are my numbers wrong? Do they really think we are that stupid? The ilogic of all this is hurting my head.

Has anyone else tired of all the ridiculous propaganda that is being thrown at us in the guise of commercials? We are all in it together, seems to be the theme. I seriously doubt that the people in these commercials are suffering and can truly empathize with the blue collar types who are really hurting. I am also tired of all the special interest stories on the news about what people are doing to cope or the crap that they are making. They are little more than propaganda too. No coverage on all the crime that is occurring. Of course,...
