hio Gov. Mike DeWine on Sunday said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was “reckless” for sharply limiting the number of protective masks Columbus-based research firm Battelle can sterilize using a process it developed. It was a sharp rebuke from a Republican governor who until now has refrained from criticizing the Trump administration’s handling of the COVID-19 outbreak. DeWine talked to Trump later in the morning and said the president was willing to help. I have just talked with @realDonaldTrump about this issue, and we had a good conversation. He understands the problem and says he will do everything he...

A farmer faces trial in federal court this summer and a $2.8 million fine for failing to get a permit to plow his field and plant wheat in Tehama County. A lawyer for Duarte Nursery said the case is important because it could set a precedent requiring other farmers to obtain costly, time-consuming permits just to plow their fields.

....D. Establishing the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office Criminal aliens routinely victimize Americans and other legal residents. Often, these victims are not provided adequate information about the offender, the offender' s immigration status, or any enforcement action taken by ICE against the offender. Efforts by ICE to engage these victims have been hampered by prior Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policy extending certain Privacy Act protections to persons other than U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, leaving victims feeling marginalized and without a voice. Accordingly, I am establishing the Victims ofImmigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office within the Office...

"The first voter I heard mention Donald Trump’s name was a mechanic in a small town near my upstate New York home. It was days after Trump announced his run, and I was at the start of a drive across the United States. The man, like many Trump supporters then, didn’t want his name used or his picture taken. An outraged press was loudly mocking Trump and he was embarrassed. But he was clear why he would vote for Trump. “There’s no American dream for anyone who isn’t a lawyer or banker,” he said. “Everyone else, we are getting a...

Democrats were calling and Mark Monroe knew something was going on. They were calling the local Republican Party chairman because they wanted to join his party. They wanted to join Donald Trump's party. It turns out that registering is as easy as asking for a ballot on Ohio's primary day. So, he told them, just show up on March 15, and request a Republican ballot. So they did.

Sun Tzu, generally considered a reliable source on Good War Ideas, said something along the lines of, "You've got to know your enemy in order to beat him, because some dudes hate being kicked in the junk and others seem to enjoy it." The difficulty we've had defeating ISIS suggests that, maybe, we don't really understand who and what the [censored] they are. Everything we hear is filtered through politicians and pundits, each with their own agenda ("You know what ISIS is afraid of? Me, Donald Trump!"). Fortunately, it turns out that finding out what ISIS wants is like finding...

Despite threatening language, Vladimir Putin is not going to start a nuclear war, according to Yuri Shvets, who studied along with him at the KGB’s Andropov Institute. Putin’s only desire is to remain in power for life, he says, and he knows Russia’s nuclear weapon delivery systems aren’t accurate enough for a first strike that would not result in national suicide. “Do you seriously think, that a man who annually disappears from public view for seven to ten days in order to have a facelift and to fill himself up with Botox is capable of unleashing a nuclear war?”

You don’t need to be tall to be an “American Ninja Warrior.” Kacy Catanzaro shocked “Ninja” viewers with her height-defying performance on an impossibly challenging obstacle course that required the 5-foot-tall former NCAA Southeast Regional Gymnast of the Year to leap through the air. Though Catanzaro’s height should have hindered her from completing the course, she breezed through some of the toughest obstacles, conquering every last one to become the first woman ever to make it through the Dallas finals and qualify for the Las Vegas finals round.

Dear Abby, My husband has a long record of money problems. He runs up huge credit-card bills, and at the end of the month, if I try to pay them off, he shouts at me, saying I am stealing his money. He says pay the minimum...let our kids worry about the rest, but we can hardly keep up with the interest. Also, he has been so arrogant, and abusive toward our neighbors that most of them no longer speak to us. The few that do are an odd bunch, to whom he has been giving a lot of expensive gifts,...
