How about some brainstorming on how to reduce risk for office workers to return to work if not able to telecommute. How about splitting group of employees into high risk and low risk categories and bring back low risk employees that are younger and have no preexisting conditions. Then split the returning group in shifts so that some workers work one day while others work another day. This would reduce the transmission rate by half. Also use testing to determine who is immune and let them come back full time.

Looking for Freeper's thoughts. What purchases could be made at this time that will result in savings. For example this might be a good time to top off home heating oil tanks.

March 15, 2020 — Volume 27 No. 13 Yesterday, we told you about our efforts and conversations with the Treasury Department and the IRS to secure filing and payment relief for taxpayers and tax preparers in light of the uncertainty and challenges caused by the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Based upon our conversations, we anticipate that Treasury and the IRS will announce this week an extension of the April 15th deadline by as much as 90 days, and a waiver of penalties and interest for most taxpayers. Additionally, Treasury and the IRS are aware of the major deadline...

My email box is filled each day with spam from the various banks, vendors, financial institutions, non-profits, hospitals, doctors, and government agencies all anxious to tell me how well they are washing doorknobs and taking other precautions. Please make them stop!

House impeachment investigators released the final closed-door deposition transcripts from the impeachment inquiry on Tuesday with the interviews of State Department official Philip Reeker and Office of Management and Budget official Mark Sandy. Sandy is a career official at OMB who was part of the freezing of the $400 million in US security aid to Ukraine, before the process was taken over by a political appointee to sign the documents delaying the aid. Reeker testified last month that he did not know about the push for Ukraine to announce investigations into President Donald Trump's political rivals, and that top officials...

Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci predicts Republican lawmakers will pressure President Trump to leave office by March 2020. “When you talk to elected Republicans privately they can’t stand the president. They know the president is a lawless person and basically a criminal,” Scaramucci told Yahoo Finance’s On the Move. The “Mooch” as he is called by friends, updated his earlier prediction that Republican leaders on Capitol Hill would ask the president to leave office by the end of the year. “Unfortunately I got that part of it wrong,” Scaramucci said. “I was counting on levels of valor and...

I was watching Fox and Friends this morning and they interviewed people eating breakfast in diners. A woman in Florida was asked who she voted for. She said I voted for Trump.

Flynn is reported to have lied about his contact with Russia which seems to be ordinary communications for a transition team. So why lie in the first place? The dots are not connecting. Is this the tip of an iceberg that we are not being shown. What else did Flynn do wrong? Is it stuff that is important to keep secret for national security? Is it stuff that is somehow related to Flynn not following directions given by administration? Is it stuff that goes deeper against Trump that we will not be privy to? Something is missing.

While we grade Trump it's easy to forget the alternative. What would the first 100 days look like if Hillary and Bill were back in Whitehouse?

Asked by @mkraju if he is prepared to hold up the Tillerson nom in committee, @MarcoRubio responds "I prepared to do what is right."

I like to be prepared for future events. Assuming Hillary wins and we are destined to endure this curse again, how do we prepare? Prayer and fasting is a given. What else?

A taxpayer has been charged with mailing a threatening communication after he responded to a notice from the Internal Revenue Service about overdue taxes by scribbling a profanity on the letter and mailing it back to the IRS.

Enrique Santiago of the Bronx, N.Y., allegedly wrote, “I do not live at this address anymore, so go f–k yourself,†on the IRS notice and told the post office to return it to the sender. The IRS had intended the notice for his nephew, named Enrique A. Santiago, but he had moved out of the elder Santiago’s home a month earlier after a “physical altercation†with his uncle, according to the New York Post. Santiago shares a similar name with his nephew, who owes the IRS $3,032.57 in unpaid taxes.

The divide between Freeper's in the Trump vs. Cruz battle is more heated than I recall any other divide of Freerepublic. Just about every thread immediately devolves to a nasty fight that carries from one thread to another. I think we need to be careful with each other because both camps need each other after the primary. Can we just agree to disagree and move on? We have more in common with each other than not.

I don't want Jeb Bush's comment missed. How in the world do we trust his ability to pick judges or justices with a comment like that? How do we trust his judgement on other issues?
