Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) will be the third-ranking Senate Republican, winning election to Conference Chair Wednesday.
Cotton defeated Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) by a 35-18 margin, Politico reports.
Conference chair’s primary duty is assisting conference members and their staffs with messaging. Cotton is known as one of Senate Republicans’ greatest weapons on the airwaves.
“I’m grateful for the support of my colleagues and to the American people for trusting us with the majority,” Cotton tweeted. “We are ready to start working to enact President Trump’s agenda for a secure border, lower prices, and a peaceful world.”

Not a huge Cotton fan, but would rather see him as the Senate Leader instead of Thune...
FINALLY some sanity in the Senate. Whew.
He voted to accept Biden’s fraudulent electors on January 6th. He’s not one of my favorites.
I think he’s a big Uke war fan also.
I wonder if the new leadership will bring up H.R.2? Since Schumer just let it sit there.
Or maybe that is a bridge too far for these phonies.
I thought he was an anti trump guy at some point?
Thanks for the info. That makes him even more unlikable.

I’m really glad Ernst didn’t get it.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all.
And him in this role than Ernst.
Not a lot to choose from in the Senate.
Not a fan.
Industrial Complex and fake MAGA.
I liked him more in the beginning. But the deep state has changed him. Not a true RINO but not a voice of the people as he once was. Senate is still controlled by RINOs and deep state elitists.
Democrats said that voting for Trump would mean that some folks would be put in chains again and they would be picking Cotton. They were partly right!
