If I have to beg, then I'll beg each of you to take the time to read this through. If that red, white and blue flag that is flying within sight or ever so close to you right this minute means anything at all to you, you owe it to yourself to read this. Remember the guy who got on a plane with a bomb built into his shoe and tried to light it? Did you know his trial is over? Did you know he was sentenced? Did you see/hear any of the judge's comments on TV/Radio. Didn't think so....

    WABC ^ | 12-7-2004 | Curtis and Kuby
When a New Jersey high school told it's students they could no longer sing Christmas Carols in school....but Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was still OK....we finally found a topic both Curtis AND Kuby could agree on! WABC's morning hosts both felt what they were doing at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey was a bad idea. The supterintendent said he did not want to offend anybody, so he banned the Christmas carols. WABC's Curtis and Kuby decided to find some schools that still DO sing Christmas Carols. We joined with our partners at Electronics Expo to hold the...

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the remarkable Yasser Arafat is that he died a natural death at the age of 75. (The good die young.) For 40 years, ever since he planted his first bomb in Galilee, violence had been his hallmark. More than a hallmark, it was his goal and obsession, his be-all and end-all and every breath - especially when he would talk about peace. Because by peace, he meant a pause in the hostilities long enough to gather his forces for the final battle of annihilation. Until then, he would settle for whatever terror he could...
  • Kerry's cancer surgery

There doesn't seem to be any current information "out there" as to how the Senator is after 19 months post cancer surgery. I post these links to refresh Freepers minds about the prostate cancer surgery and surrounding issues. It may seem like a lot to read but I think it is a fair question today. How close would we be to swearing in, uh, what's his name.......um....Edwards,.....yes, that's it, another John. I noticed what Kerry didn't say about the upcoming (Feb, 2001) surgery more than what he did say. I see no, nada, zip, zilch about his supposed faith in...

  • taking Kerry and the Democrats to task

A multi parted email I rec'd from my friend Judy | Col. Norman Duquette
I received this message from my friend, Col. Norman "Duke" Duquette. Duke was shot down over North Korea and spent a long time in a prison camp, being tortured but never talking. I am proud of him and have respect for him. Good Morning Judy: It is time to start taking Kerry and the Democrats to task. The Democrats have had a hay day with an avalanche of media support in promulgating the Kerry self serving propaganda and anti-Bush rhetoric for many weeks now, just as he teamed up with the media to support the Communist efforts in Vietnam with...
  • Proof: Democrats still speaking with forked tongues

Proof: Are the Democrats still speaking with forked tongues? Let's look at the facts.... "One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." - President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998 "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." - President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998 "Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal...

  • A computer question

If I'm out of line asking this here, please just delete the thread. Many of the sites my email friends suggest display only a line boarder with a square in the upper left corner with a tiny red square, gray circle and blue triangle inside. Does anyone know why this happens. I'm using Windows 98, on SBC DSL, Outlook Express and IE. I can't find anything anywhere on this problem. Mainly because I don't even know what to call it. Any help would be so appreciated.

Who Stands Alone Eleven thousand soldiers lay beneath the dirt and stone, all buried on a distant land so far away from home. For just a strip of dismal beach they paid a hero's price, to save a foreign nation they all made the sacrifice. And now the shores of Normandy are lined with blocks of white, Americans who didn't turn from someone else's plight. Eleven thousand reasons for the French to take our side, but in the moment of our need, they chose to run and hide. Chirac said every war means loss, perhaps for France that's true, for...

After action report on Rally to Support the Troops, Aiken, SC. We did not quite make reach 1,000 but we had several hundred people attending, many carrying posters with pictures of their loved ones now serving in Iraq. It was a rousing rally and every time the president was mentioned, there was a standing ovation. Our state senator, Thomas Moore, a democrat, had nothing but praise for the president and said this was the time to pull together for the troops. LaWana McKenzie, a county council woman and local school principal who teaches patriotism in her school got a standing...

Now that the fire is out, the riot has been quelled, the paramedics are gone, the jails are locked down and the National Guard is in control, I have to say that the 2003 Masters was an absolute Hootie. Wouldn't you? And it all started so innocently. Martha Burk wrote a little letter asking Augusta National to get a female member. Club president Hootie Johnson answered by saying, basically, "When Hell gets a bobsled team." Feminist groups promised to picket the Masters. The New York Times demanded that Tiger Woods boycott the event. And Jesse Jackson said he'd be there...

CRAF Program, A retired airline pilot classmate passed this along to me. I thought you would enjoy reading it. This is another example of a story that should be making the news, but for some reason our news media doesn’t think it is what the people should see. Regards, Joe This will make you a bit misty-eyed, but also very proud. For those of you who don't know about the CRAF program....when the US gov't goes into a military conflict (major one) and they need aircraft to transport troops, they take over some aircraft from US Airlines. I believe they...
