taking Kerry and the Democrats to task
A multi parted email I rec'd from my friend Judy | Col. Norman Duquette

Posted on 02/12/2004 3:42:50 AM PST by Oreo Kookey

I received this message from my friend, Col. Norman "Duke" Duquette. Duke was shot down over North Korea and spent a long time in a prison camp, being tortured but never talking. I am proud of him and have respect for him.

Good Morning Judy: It is time to start taking Kerry and the Democrats to task. The Democrats have had a hay day with an avalanche of media support in promulgating the Kerry self serving propaganda and anti-Bush rhetoric for many weeks now, just as he teamed up with the media to support the Communist efforts in Vietnam with his ill concieved anti-American activities.

Questions about Kerry's character abound!! It is time to start getting to the truth about this fraudulant, anti-American, pro-communist individual and to put it out into the open. And, questions abound which make me ponder, such as: Who wrote the Citations for Kerry's "medals"? What was the approving authority? Kerry was the CO of one of the Navy skiffs upon which he was serving when the Citations were written. Who wrote them? Did he write them for himself, as the Commader of the boat? I'd sure like to know the "chain of command" for his "Citations". Inasmuch as he is a self-serving liar, it makes me doubt the authenticity of his "medals", and I feel it is a legitimate question, well worth pursuing, and well within the rightful perview of public knowledge.

I am particularly upset with the way he hung our MIA/POWs out to dry when he served as head of the Senate Committee on MIA/POW matters. If he had his way, our POWs would still be incarcerated in the prison dungeons of Hanoi. Our MIA/POWs deserve the honor of being returned home to America, dead or alive. If they are dead, they have paid the price in full to be buried in the green hills of our National Cemeteries here in America. If they are alive, they have earned the right to be returned home to their families and loved ones here in America. America owes them that much in spite of Senator Kerry's efforts to forget all about them.

Our MIA/POW flags fly throughout the land as a reminder of the plight of our MIA/POWs as they languish in captivity or in shallow graves on a foreign soil. The media, in support of Kerry, has just fired it's first shot by demanding that we tear down our MIA/POW flags. This is their first propaganda effort in support of, and to disquise Senator Kerry's wrongful, anti-American actions preventing an accounting for and the return of our fallen and imprisoned servicemen. Would you have this man as our Commander-in-Chief? I think not. Regards, YIP, DUKE

Subj: Re: This is a very informative article. Date: 2/9/2004 10:56:54 AM Eastern Standard Time

Duke, I was sure you felt strongly about this man, Kerry, and with your background, knowledge and abilities, I hope you will contact the media, VSO's and any individuals you feel would be beneficial in this attempt to out this anti-American, and demonstrate to the public just what he is, and who he serves. It is not the people of the United States of America.

I hope someone will pursue the issue of the medals. I think you may have hit on something there.

Thank you for your comments and I hope you will allow me to pass them on to others?

YIP Judy

I'm passing this on in hopes that many readers will do likewise. This seemed the best place to start. We have the Colonel's permission to distribute it freely.

I have been asking the same questions while most people are blindly calling him a war hero, I have been questioning just what did he do to be considered a hero? I hope this sory takes wings!

The question of the chain of command on his silver star is being asked all around the country over coffee, at the cafes, at the kitchen table. I am hearing it from vets who are discussing it among themselves.

America's military is dispersed among us. Many served or are related to vets.

Just keep the pressure on.

Last night one of Kerry's advisors was on Hannity and Idiot. Alan tossed off the question: who are the Vietnam Vets Against John Kerry? The advisor just shrugged and countered that *the vast majority* of vets support Kerry. This is not true.

Encourage all the vets you know to write letters to the editor, call the radio shows, show up to picket Kerry or show up to support the President.

Only the media spins the 'war hero' bit and Kerry toots his own horn.

Anyone who constantly tell people he is a war hero; bring attention to his 'medals'; yet turn on his "Band of Brothers" once on safe soil with anti-American rhetoric - who now commands the spot light with the same message while we have brave men and women fighting another war, is not the man to lead this country. His remarks are bordering on treason and are a great help to our terrorist enemies. He even went so far as to contact to the Mehr News Agency:(Kerry's traitorous appeal to a foreign government)

Kerry is a Communist; an elitest, and a very wealthy one. But as an American Senator he has crossed the line and should be censured by the Senate and the American people.

I want to see the medical reports on the severity of the wounds that resulted in his Purple Hearts. If they were Bandaid wounds, than I think Kerry has a lot more to worry about than the President's NG attendance.

BTW, Kerry is supposed to be on Imus tomorrow for one of his trademark softpedal "interviews."
